flerp derpenson My Monk is my main, I have been leveling a Death Knight. She is Unholy, and just got to Northrend. So I have that place to get through then Cataclysm, then mists then cringe sh it place warlords... I am not switching, because I love Unholy and didn't care for blood or frost. Still going for the Unholy Artifact though.

I love how this artifact reuses the same quest line as some other artifact quests but has unique features and interactions. Plus I'm still a WoW noob but I've never heard of anything giving guardian Aegwynn trouble but the avatar of sargeras and her son so this weapon is pretty damn cool

All I could think about during this entire search for the weapon, was the Lich King screaming: "APOCALYPSE!" like he does frequently in WOTLK. Seems Arthas wanted this sword as well, making Frostmourne insanely jealous.

Since I've not being playing I've missed some things. Are now all the Deathknights of Acherus under the control of the Lich King again? Is it because Bolvar is doing a good job keeping Ner'zul at bay?

They seem to have flocked to him suddenly, with no explanation. It makes no sense and my friend and I are very suspicious that Ner'zhul has taken over and become far more powerful.

I think it's something that needs explanation.. DKs came to be exactly to be free of his will but now it's "lets make undeath great again". About Ner'zul I think that he has been erased by Arthas already and that what remained of both Arthas and Ner'zul was killed when Frosties got their artifact.

They explained their allegiance in one of the first quests. LK will keep the scourge in Northrend and aid the DK's with obtaining powerful artifacts in the war against the Legion. They're not under his command or are forced to work for him like in the past, yet there are a few things that makes you wonder. One of the images you see as a frost dk from the rare spawns is LK Arthas telling you that you're still following his will and from the Maw of the Damned quest we find out that others are following orders given by the LK as well. Could lead to some interesting story in the future if they want it too.

Thanks for the explanation. It seems like that Blizzard is opening again a lot of story arcs (Dragon aspects, LK, the Light, Elune, etc.) and I hope we'll get even more tons of lore in this expansion. I also wait for the other volumes and your videos about them :P

Alessarius from maiming a dk I have found the dk are getting tips or help from the lich king on weapons and items as sorts as also dks also get a saying when I fall you will raise so when he dies you will take over so your not serving him you are allies unlike ghouls those server hopefully that hells

I hear you were a Jesse Cox fan from the OMFGCata days. Remember the Cataclysm interactive map he made, where we could see the zones and click the annotations to go to the corresponding video? How about doing something like that for your Artifact videos? One short video with a picture of each, sorted by class/spec, and annotations leading to the already existing videos. Because right now it is a clusterf*ck. I already can't find any specific one, and I doubt it would become any easier to navigate years later. And these are Lore videos that will be relevant 2 expansions later still.

So out of the different artifacts - it seems like Apocalypse was fitting the most for the dark riders. And yes I know that the scythe was evolved with them aswell - but the way they did it felt kind of mah, while this legit connect to them.

The blade is an eleven blade. It's given to varian by Jaina. This happens during the period where varian is missing and lady prestor is in charge of stormwind. Basically varian is split into two beings: Lo'gosh and varian. Varian is controlled by lady prestor while Lo'gosh is found on Kalimdor. Long story short the two halves become one to defeat onyxia and Jaina gives the whole varian the sword to kill onyxia.

actually 2 varians went to kill onyxia but she thrw them a fire bolt or fire u know and they were combined in 1 varian again and his armor and his weapons turned to 1 so 1 varian had 1 blade other had another blade but they were combined also only varian can split these blades

Going for this artifact when I level my Death Knight. I also made the class a Blood Elf Female, since I like Blood Elves and going to level through the old zones until I reach certain places to get my stuff prepared for Legion. I would boost, but I don't want to waste money again, and saving up for race change when a certain race comes out. The large giant guys called Ogres.

Good question. Maybe they're just one of the many races that have chosen to side with the Legion. Creatures of the void do seem to do crazy things to gain more power. They may also be enslaved.
