I think archie liked betty even from the start of S1 but was too immature at the time that betty confessed to him. the timing was off for them. archie needed to mature in order to match betty's "perfection." he was trying hard to be the best boyfriend for fake grundy, valerie and veronica during each relationship but ended up disappointing himself. he wants to be betty's soulmate and destiny haha! i'm too much into this. WTH!

martinski during the last few episodes you could see that I think he’s confused about his feelings for her. I definitely feel like this season there’s gonna be something there for sure. Everyone thinks that because in the comics he stays with Veronica that he’ll end up with her. But people need to realize the show is gonna be completely different than the comics that’s how it always is just like books and movies are always different.

I used to be a bughead shipper (before watching this video like 10 minutes ago lol) and let me just apologise on behalf of bughead fandom for giving you guys all the hate.. I personally never attacked other shippers but I have witnessed many times on twitter how Barchie shippers get attacked.. Actually that is what led me to search Barchie up and woah! This video has me sold! I think the reason I somewhat ship(ed) Bughead was due to the adorableness of Sprousehart and while I still love them (and hope that they're secretly together) I think my ultimate Riverdale otp is going to be Barchie.. :)

I think after Betty started dating Jughead, Archie started to realize some feelings for her. He just never realized it at first because there was never that push or that eye-opener for him to realize. He was going to tell Betty something, but he was cut off. He was going to tell Veronica something too, but he was cut off. I believe the thing he was going to say to Betty was a little part of him thought they would always be together (even romantically). The story he remembered about asking Betty to marry him when they were little where Betty said to ask again when they are 18 foreshadowed this. Kevin's msg at the end of the video also alludes to their relationship. In S2 when that new girl shows up at Jughead's school, I feel like the conflict the cast has been hinting at will cause tension between Betty and Jughead and Archie will be there for Betty and then something will spark between them :) P.S. I don't have a favorite ship, but from the contents of the show this is what I think will happen

I love this. Barchie is such a beautiful ship and I hated that we hardly got to see them together in season 1. I wanted to like bughead, but it was way to rushed. Bughead is cute and they have moments, but I've always loved best friends who are secretly in love. Barchie kinda reminds me of stydia. Archie being Lydia and Betty being Stiles I wish there were more styida and barchie like together. This ship is endgame. There is too much of foreshadowing going on with this ship. I think Bughead is going to fall apart in Season 2, and the they sailed the Varchie ship way too fast, for it too last all seasons long. Obviously, gut feeling is Betty and Archie are end game. ❤ I love all the characters but Barchie all the way ❤ Also, it is rumored that Dove Cameron is going to be introduced in season 2 as Sabrina, and hey will you look at that, Jughead and Sabrina will set sail, just like they hit it off in the comic!

I'm very happy that Barchie happened. Yes, I know they cheated but I was waiting for four series for this moment. I have to say that I don't like the behavior of Bughead fans because we Barchie fans watched Bughead for almost the whole four series and we had no problem with it and we didn't spoil the joy of the bughead's moments. I don't think this is the end because in my opinion Betty has chosen an easier way not to hurt anyone and by burning her diaries she will forget about Archie. I don't know if the feelings they build all their lives just disappear with the diaries. My opinion. This war of ships must end. We are all fans of riverdale no matter who ships. xxx
