Because UK drill wasn’t even big how it now during that time. And the UK producer would name their type beats based on US rappers because that’s the was audience they were originally trying to target. The UK influence came later with Sheff G because when the early scenes when Sheff G came out everyone thought he was from the UK. That was what link NY and UK drill closer. And Sheff G began collabing with UK artists
