Mom didn’t kill dad, but he was violent so she ran away from him. While in hiding her real daughter was crushed under an armoire trying to reach a doll Katherine had put away. She buried the body with the help of her aunt. Then she left and adopted a little girl somewhere in Eastern Europe the same age as the real Dylan.
