The Story Of Fred Perry

Fred Perry is revered in the town where he was born, Stockport, England. One of the municipal buildings is named Fred Perry House and there is a walking route through the town and suburbs, named Fred Perry Way. He is also the last Englishman to have won the Wimbledon Men's Singles title. Before pursuing a career in tennis, he also became World Table Tennis champion, which was the last competitive table-tennis game he played as he wanted to focus his career on tennis.
