I've become really taken by the idea of an animated anthology that includes a bunch of these, & even Freddy vs. Jason vs. Ash. Voice work wouldn't be physically taxing on Robert or Bruce, which has contributed to their retirement from the roles.

Freddy being a counselor and causing Jason to drown sounds interesting also Freddy and Jason teaming up would have been awesome. A lot of these ideas sound interesting, but I'm much happier with the script and the movie that we got! I love these videos.

I think Freddy killing Jason as a kid after molesting him is a dumb idea solely because my interpretation of part two is that Jason didn't die when he drowned that he just washed up on the other side of the lake and lived in the woods for 30 years.

I actually have a draft for Freddy vs Jason vs Ash that I worked on years ago it's completely different from the comics. It follows the Halloween format of being in its own timeline ignoring certain movies.

Even though Jason X is Officially the end of the Jason Voorhees story, I honestly think the script where they bring together the survivors of both franchises would be a GREAT Alternate Ending for both sagas. 🚨 CURIOUS FACT: Friday the 13th (2009) is Officially a Sequel, it takes place 6 years after the events of Freddy vs. Jason (2003) and Jason X take place after the events of the 2009 movie, so yes, officially all 12 movies are 100% Canon and tell a single story, ending in the year 2455 with Jason's DEFINITIVE death.

I never got the hate this film gets but after hearing all this and seeing how people had better available scripts to read makes it all make sense. I still love the movie but see why so many at the time were mad. If I had read all this and than saw the movie I would also be disappointed.

Without a doubt, if there was one earlier draft of FVJ I wish had been pursued, it's the Marcus/Briggs version, because it feels like a proper follow-up to Jason Goes to Hell, which I've always unironically enjoyed. The only problem I had with it was the Schwarzenegger-ized Freddy, which wouldn't have been practical for Robert to play. Something more along a New Nightmare style look would've worked better, IMO. I think New Line should've went for it. Maybe it would've had effects that aged like their Spawn movie, or maybe they could've portrayed Hell like the dimension of New Nightmare's Freddy. A Christopher Lee cameo like Briggs wrote for the beginning would've been cool too, but added to the expense. In any case, I think this draft would've been more to Rob Bottin's liking. Just imagine a Satan patterned after Bottin's own Darkness from Ridley Scott's Legend. And speaking of Rob, I'm most curious to hear about his pitch, because I heard it got taken away from him & became one of the more ridiculous scripts the longer they developed it. Anywhoo, keep up the good work my Dude. And thank you. 😎

Yeah it took forever, it was originally thought of it in 1987. It was a long journey but I love the movie we got.
