Blizz confirmed that the actions of Gul'dan and the Legion will be high for the last patch of WoD. Which makes me think that Gul'dan has something to do with Grom being the boss of this xpac.

It was said that the encounter will have a heavy Legion influence. Personally, I hope Grommash is barely part of the final encounter - or at least give us a real reason to fight him. There's no reason for him to be the final boss, especially when we've had a year of Garrosh and Blizz said they weren't going to go that way.

Grommash will not be the final boss. He'll be a patch boss for sure but there's no way it'll be so simple. Even in BC they knew that just Illidan wasn't enough, so we had an invasion by Kiljaeden. All sorts of things could happen, an invasion on Azeroth by the Naga, Sylvanas going crazy, the evil under Tirisfall showing itself, the Bronze Dragons becoming infinite, the alternate timeline's legion invading in Alternate Draenor, something involving Wrathion. There's a lot of potential above just stopping the Iron Horde.

Something that is not touched on here that is fairly important in defense of Ner'zhul; he was tricked. He had visions of his dead wife Rulkan, controlled by Kil'jaeden. He often communed with her prior to the arrival of Kil'jaeden's trickery. Seeing this vision, when visions of ancestors were typically trusted, Ner'zhul believed that combating the Dreanei was a correct action. He only learned of the deceit after it was too late. You can read about this in Rise of the Horde, by Christie Golden.

From what I know about the lore of WoW, let me list all the Human Kingdoms that I know of and try to provide lore on them. Warning, this could be a very long comment. Kingdom of Stormwind: The last standing human bastion of civilization. Home of the Alliance, where King Varian Wrynn leads the Alliance, with his son Anduin backing him up. The lore of Stormwind City is quite lengthy, you can find the information easily on the internet. Kingdom of Lordaeron: Former home of the Alliance of Lordaeron, now fallen into shambles because of Arthas Menethil's meddling. It is now the home of the Forsaken, where they skulk around in the dark and wet sewer system beneath the former capital city. Kingdom of Stromgarde: Technically part of the Kingdom of Lordaeron, but has fallen into disrepair due to bandits and marauders. This Kingdom used to oversee their land of Arathi Highlands and Hillsbrad Foothills. Kingdom of Gilneas: The Gilnean people walled themselves off from the rest of civilization due to the threat of the Plague spreading throughout northern Lordaeron during the 3rd war. The Greymane Wall was shattered during the Shattering (The Cataclysm) and the Feral Worgen that lived in Silverpine Forest flooded in and started the epidemic that turned Gilneans into Worgen. These are all the Kingdoms that I know of, however, there are still some important cities where Humans lived and were part of a Kingdom. These are: Stratholme City: Part of the Kingdom of Lordaeron. Stratholme was the first place where the Plague was documented to start, with the help of Mal'Ganis the Dreadlord. Arthas Menethil, who was trying to stop the Plague at the time, purged the city of all the sick and ill, before setting sail to Northrend to track down Mal'Ganis and finish the fight. Durnhold Keep: Part of the Kingdom of Stromgarde, Kingdom of Lordaeron. A place where Orcish prisoners were kept, awaiting execution. Thrall was being held here and with the help of the Bronze Dragonflight, you free Thrall, and help him continue on this way to become the Warchief of the Horde.

Pretty much the single most evil character in the franchise, and that includes dudes like Sargeras, at least he has a guiding belief in what he sees as the failure of the Titans order as his core reason for his great evil. Gul'dan just wanted personal power, and everything he ever did was in persuit of that, his desires were 100% self-centered and he was just completely selfish. As long as he got his power he didn't care at all what happened to the Orcs.

Velen didn't want to at first. He had to land the Exodar on Draenor, after the Naaru Ku're got sick and couldn't steer the ship any longer. The Draenai then had to rebuild their lives on Draenor, and reconstruct their dead society alongside the orcs. If you want to blame anybody, blame Archimonde and Kil'Jaden for joining Sargaeres even after Velen told them not to.

Every action has a result. Often its not what you expect. He tried desperately to save his people, but doing so he brought destruction over other people. You cant blame him. It is what it is. Thats how it goes in real life as well.

Velen never wanted to hurt anybody. I agree that his course of actions following the Naaru Ku're were inevitably destructive, but the Sargaerai didn't give him alot of options. Don't forget that it was Velen that brought the SunWell back to the Blood Elves(along with Muruu), and created the Shatari and Aldor factions after Shattrah City was restored.

So i started playing WoW just a couple of months ago not because of what people said about it or because it is the "King of all MMOs", but because i started loving all of its lore. I have watched a lot of lore videos on this channel and on Danger Dolan 's for other curious facts about wow. The longer the video, the better for me. Im so exicted about the story it have that i cant wait for the movie ! I believe WOW has the potential to claim the place of All the Lord of the Rings movies, i hope blizzard do it right.

If you haven't already definitely give Warcraft 3 a go, that has the best lore by a long way. The lore in WoW isn't bad, and has definitely improved since WotLK, but it's a little bit "Hollywood" if if you know what I mean.

Greendotz Yeap i started with the Warcraft lore :D. I think many people complain about WoW going bad since CATA, since the end of the lore that started everything (Warcraft) "ended" with the expansion of the Lich King. Everything after that is new ground that wasnt told in any warcraft game by obvious reasons, so everybody is like "wtf is this?!" and bla bla. But i bet that if blizzard would have made Warcraft 4 including the story for Cata and MoP, people would have been like "omg those expansions were as great as the previous ones"

Nobbel87 I know this has nothing to do with this particular video, but it's been something that's been scratching at the back of my mind for the longest time. I'm new to your channel and have just recently caught up on all your lore videos. One thing I keep hearing when the Titans are mentioned is that "killing an Old God will corrupt Azeroth". Now, this is all well and good to the lore, except for the fact that we have been doing a lot of Old God killing ourselves. Are these killings the reason for some of the major disasters to the world, such as the Cataclysm, or was the corruption that the Titans experienced just one big fluke, and a stroke of luck among the Old Gods? And, if this is the case, wouldn't that put us heroes at the forefront of most, if not all, of the disasters that befell Azeroth? I know the argument can be made that "we have to kill the Old Gods in their realm", but isn't Azeroth their realm, since that's where the Titans first found them and also killed their first Old God, or does the Old Gods' lore go far beyond the Titans' lore? I'm not sure if there are answers in the different books scattered around Azeroth, but I currently hold no subscription to WoW to find out. If you can't answer these questions, I will be happy to take them to the forums and see if any of the Blizz devs can help me with this conundrum. I just thought you would be the easiest person to get a hold of, at the current time. Thank you for your time, and thank you for the videos. I really enjoy them.

Hell scream was the first to accept the gift? I thought Hellscream poured it out after Gul'dan told him he had to give everything...then Hellscream used his axe to slice Mannoroth right in the skull.

Wow. I have watched a lot of lore videos on Nobbel87 channel in chronological order. I also recently read the three volumes of Warcraft Chronicle. Now I see how things are. I think I finished the videos covering volume 1. Some of the latest I seen were about night elves especially Illiden. So I think that is the war of the anchients. That was the main event of volume one for me. Now this video is talking about the orcs. So it seems like this is getting into volume two. I think I good name for this time is the opening of the dark portal. The Chronicle refers to this a lot, while describing when other events take place. This event is a lot like the birth of Christ. It splits history into two parts. There is the regular history after the event. Then there is the anchient history before the event. Guldan is an interesting character in the invading orcs. He was the one to get the orcs corrupted by the demons. He was the leader of the first orc warlocks. When Guldan influinces the orcs, the earliest Horde can be set in motion. I look forward to watching more videos. BTW I have seen Illidan holding a skull. I didn't know that was Guldan's skull. This reminds me of Hamlet. Alas poor Guldan. I knew him.

..... Back then the kingdom of Stormwind was known as the kingdom of Azeroth and so to was the city known as Azeroth. Understandable that you'd mess it up as the Yogg fight blizz changed it just so people wouldn't be confused.

The "Kingdom of Azeroth" was retconned a long time ago. Every modern source calls it the Kingdom of Stormwind even in the First War.

You'll find that until the City of Azeroth was rebuilt as Stormwind the kingdom wasn't referred to as Stormwind. It hasn't been retconned it's like historians today Roman Londinium as just London, it is easier to called it by its modern name as to not confuse people. As stated above, not a lot of people know that Stormwinds original name and name at the time of the Yogg fight was Azeroth. However the name Azeroth has not only been given to the World and a Kingdom but also to the continent south of Khaz Modan, which is the part from STV all the way up to the Burning Steps, thus the reason for the kingdoms original name as it covered most of the continent.
