Cole Robinson-Boivin he was apparently a playboy but the strained relationship with his Dad has more to do with Henry IV being exiled by the previous King during his childhood, his relationship with the previous monarchy before his Dad took the throne by force and religious divides. Falstaff’s character name had to actually be changed by Shakespeare due to public pressure because John Oldcastle- the real person the character was based off was so different to Falstaff that it was considered disrespectful to present Oldcastle as a drunken older friend like that.
