Thank you for telling your story. Funny thing is that Ive heard 4 different stories from my ex boyfriend of how he got paralyzed. I noticed the versions varied depending on who he talked to. If he was at Home Depot, he fell off a ladder. If he was talking to social workers, he fell out of a tree. He has said his girlfriend pulled him out of that tree. If we were fighting, he dove head first out of that tree. In other words, I understand. Thank you for your courage in telling your story.

I was talking to a friend of mine about my personal wheelchair life and perspective, just gabbing, but then I just kind of liked my wording on this response and thought it might be good to share here as well, so if you’re going through some hard times or a hard life…it could always be worse and if it is, just change the way you view it and take that power of control in your life back also! I swear it’s possible to be happy in the dark. ‘'It's really just a mindset. I’ve come to know and connect with many people in a fairly similar situation physically as to my own and it has just completely wiped the spirit and light from some of them, which I understand, but it also breaks my heart for them because I know it doesn’t have to be that way...I'm a fighter, a survivor...I refuse for a broken neck to break who am!'’

Truly? I’m honored. A rare and unfortunate story I just may have. May I let it be known then that my testimony is certainly not one to seek out pity but as a human interest story orchestrated to shed light on self-reflection and truth regardless of its embarrassing nature and outcome. I sincerely thank you for taking the time then to hear my story. Feel free to email me at andrewbruton0@gmail.com if you would like to get in touch. Thanks again.

You have a very good attitude, focusing on what you can do not on what you can’t do. Wishing you all the best.

Not during that visit. The whole time I was in the hospital I was fairly close but because of Covid she wasn’t allowed to visit. I’ve seen her several times now and going back again this April. Thank you for listening to my story!
