Notice that the player is called "Lion of Stormwind." Which is a title once beared by Anduin Lothar. The commander of Stormwind's military during the 1st war and supreme commander of the Alliance of Lordaeron during the second war. And the man Varian Wrynn named his son after.

I just completed this on an alt...I really like this. The question always was "how did Varian let Stormwind get so corrupt". And we knew Onyxia was manipulating the nobles...but now we know she was manipulating both sides, using the power of the amulet. I like how Shaw puts it as "not quite mind control". This quest does an amazing job of cleaning up all the lore around Onyxia, the Stonemasons/Defias, and the nobles. Btw, the conversation with Ragged John is a reference to how the confrontation with Onyxia differs in game lore vs comic lore. Windsor confronted her in game. Varian confronted her in the comics. And of course the "champion" is you. Just a bit of poking fun at continuity issues.

@@HeavyYeti there is a possibility you can get lucky w/ GMs. Thru SEVERAL tickets, I got back a lot of legacy items. From raid to attunement items. Just gotta get lucky. Many times got told “No” just to open tickets for the same item, eventually getting it.

Not sure you have to have the amulet, from what I could tell you just need to have done the questlines. Saw my character in it even while having done it originally on that character when she was still a dwarf, but race changed pretty early so think it did not keep track of her having originally been dwarf. :P

Security being an issue true, but there is one thing artifacts in warcraft tend to do when destroyed, their powers linger or move on to something else. This makes destroying them usually not the best option.

I truly loved this questline.. it actually was a bit challenging in it's final phase. Of course I found it exceptionally cruel to make me wander the maze of the deadmines ... AGAIN. LOL

Yeah, facing an enemy threat from the cosmos whose sole purpose is to torture, kill, and destroy for no reason other than just because they can... that will change a person. We as players know why, but the NPC characters don't.

This is just speculation but, what if Anduin has been in the care of Vanessa Vancleef in the 5 years he has been gone. Considering Vanessa & Anduin are about the same age and share a connection with Stormwind's history. Vanessa once went by the name Hope and speaks about a new way of protecting Westfall from corruption, there might be a possible storyline where Vanessa has been helping Anduin down a path that makes him a better leader. Vanessa to me would make the perfect candidate for Queen of Stormwind and Anduin's wife. Vanessa understands the corruption of the nobles very well and as Queen would be perfect on keeping the nobles in check, while Anduin focuses on leading the Alliance. If Vanessa chooses to go by Hope again then who better to bring hope into Anduin after what he has gone through. This is just an idea, but I really think it would be awesome considering the history the two of them have despite never meeting each other.

Defias Brotherhood haven't been relevant or a threat since before Mists of Pandaria, other than Vancleef's daughter appearing in Legion.

This was a fun nostalgia trip, both for me and for my human warrior, Eriza Redshield. She began her journey during the Cataclysm at the age of 16. She only briefly met Vanessa while journeying in Westfall, when she posed as Hope Saldean. After discovering Vanessa's true identity and what happened to her, Eriza understood her pain, having lost her own parents around the same age. Vanessa on the other hand viewed Eriza as just another Stormwind dog. This was an awkward reunion for them both, but they reached common ground in Northshire, and parted as friends. I gave Eriza the red version of the heritage armor, since red was always her color, as well as the Blademaster swords from the Trading Post. Not quite "Stormwind" or "Alliance", but they look cool and match the color. I also gave her the new scarlet hair customization from the barber shop, because that's her canonical hair color.

why do people insist on asking for things that are 100% unrelated to the damn video? Asking for the other heritage armor questlines would make sense. Asking fora storyline/questline that is 100% unrelated (and I'm not sure if there's even a true fleshed out story anyway) is frankly rude and inconsiderate to the person making the video. @@MichaelThompson-vw7kg The writing team have always been good at smaller, more contained, stories. It's when they try to do an overarching A-Plot is when they drop the ball hard. And I'm not just talking about Shadowlands. All the overarching plotlines since Wrath have either had a promising start but didn't quite stick the landing or the entire expansion's story being a complete train wreck.
