I stumbled upon the court report for him a while back. I've read almost every Stephen King novel ever made, horror is one of my favorite genres, and it's a point of personal pride that it takes a LOT to legitimately unnerve me. But that case was the most horrific, macabre, and sinister one I've ever come across. It made me physically ill. Murder is more humane than what they were doing, and the fact that Ian Watkins was so unperturbed and proud of his pedophilic tendencies sickens me through and through. I'd sacrifice a ton of my worldly possessions just to spend 10 minutes beating the absolute brakes off Watkins and the two mothers offering up their kids to him and even taking part in the abuse. I hope every day is a "booty warrior" day for him in prison.

This is probably the most vile, repulsive case I’ve seen. The atrocities committed by this sh*tbag are beyond comprehension. People around him had to know more than they’re willing to admit, and honestly I don’t think I would want to say those words out loud BUT to save children?? Absolutely yes. I’d rat him out in a heartbeat. Those mothers who sacrificed their children to be a part of his life need to be buried under the jail just like that Monster. This one makes my skin crawl. And the horrifying thought that came to mind after watching this was He’s not the only one out there… Terrifying.

Mike Patton is so far beyond this dude it's wild that any comparisons would exist. Mike Patton's range is top tier.. for example.. he did an entire show singing old Italian pop songs and it was actually good (Mondo Cane). Also, this is the best Ian Watkins vid to date. Famous Criminals always delivers no matter what the genre.

Well he did take a severe beating before being arrested A true story to lighten the mood, I used to live in Cardiff and a few months before Watkins got arrested I was in a nightclub called Bogiez (which was the local rock club). Also in there was a guy called Magzy who played guitar for a few of the local hardcore bands. Watkins walks in and then out of no where a slightly inebriated Magzy lunges for and beats down Watkins(full MMA ground and pound style). A few years later we joked/theorized that Magzy had a premonition of what Ian had done so got his shots in early.

To kind of give you an insight into why they were “so big” over here even though they weren’t good enough to make it in the US is because, in the UK we know that a lot of our artists/groups can only go so far so we rally behind them even more! There are so many artists that are huge over here but only a few people know about outside of here and that’s part of why! Growing up, we obviously heard more UK artists and there’s been countless amount of times that I learned that they didn’t even make it in the US and I was genuinely surprised because of how big they were! We understand that, if we don’t support them, you lot won’t (not by any fault of yours, that’s just how it is) and that’s why, when they do get plays over there or breakthrough we’re all so proud and excited by it like we made it ourselves because we understand how much of an uphill climb and struggle it is!

As a UK ex black emo kid that was in high school around the time L.P/rooftops was big (2005/2006), I never went out of my way to listen to them. They were, just like you said, boring and a knockoff of better, bigger bands! My emo friend group and I, when we’d be playing and sharing music never and I mean _never_ played their songs! We knew of rooftops because it was played on music channels from Kerrang to MTV (my goodness, the good old music days!) They were literally forced down our throats but they really weren’t good at all to us!

Notice how Ian Watkins doesn't blink and how his voice is monotone. That's because he is a sociopath narcissists and I know for a fact that the band members had no idea how bad he was and they thought it was just a drug and sex addiction.
@ronaldmcdonald-s2q
@ronaldmcdonald-s2q Жыл бұрын
Honey, you are spreading dumb ignorance to other dummies or naive who would believe it. Sociopaths come in all kinds of vessels and outward personality types. This guy watkins was the emo punk rocker facade. The worst sociopathic narcissist, corrupt megalomaniac, diabolical perverse monster pedophile/rapist/molestor and sadist I have ever known was a charismatic FUNDIE RELIGIOUS preacher who was an extreme extrovert and in no way did he speak in a monotone voice or not blink. He was also cunning at hiding it. However, behind closed doors he was extremely cruel, malicious and callous and also got his jollies from perverse mind games and just torturing and getting a power trip from such activities as that's what sociopaths do as they are innately bullies. You are confusing asperger symptoms to sociopathy. The point is this monster was in no way related to the punk rock scene but extremely stereotypically far-right conservative republican with a self-righteous pillar of the community facade as a MORAL AUTHORITY but what they have in common is what they HIDE as in their real nature from the public as they put on an act as he really was the most lecherous, perverse and amoral scumbag and slime with no moral scruples. You are either naive or a fool to believe you can spot a sociopath or psychopath so easily as if they are all one size fits all. The whole point is they can put on an act in public to hide who they are. They exist in all STRATA of society, creed, politics, appearance, age and in all races as well as professions. BTW, YOU DO NOT KNOW "FOR A FACT" WHAT THE BAND MEMBERS KNEW OR DIDN'T.

What bums me out about Watkins is that, while I didn't care for LostProphets at their height (emo, songs like Rooftops), I loved their earlier Nu Metal output, even though I was just a toddler still. It's sad because now I feel like I'm not allowed to urge to listen to them at all, let alone that point in their career. I probably could, but as a little time has went on and I became more mature, it's within my best interest not to. Watkins ruined everything.

Do one for Jacob Hoggard. He was also a frontman of a shitty pop band named "Hedley" until he got thrown in jail for sexually assaulting women. One of the victims are under the age of 16. Hedley never gained recognition in the US even with labels such as Capitol and Island because Americans probably we're smart enough to never give that band a chance and honestly for the best. In 2018 during the band's cross country tour, women on social media shared stories of their negative experiences with Hoggard, two days later their opening acts dropped out of the tour, their management as well as several charities and sponsors dropped the band, and radio stations blacklisted their music, and a week later, their was an interview of a woman who claimed that the band's lead singer sexually assaulted her. Hoggard was then arrested in July of 2018, and was sentenced to 5 years in prison in 2022. Great video btw.
