The reason why its red because when iron mixes with oxygen is turns into iron oxide or rust so just wanted to clear it up. But nice vid man keep up the good work.

That iron ore cost me a lot of money to paint my house every three years (roof, walls and trees full of red iron dust). I stay in Saldanha, and I think this iron ore dust is a real health problem. It also devalues our houses here.

Correct I spend last year R20k to paint my roof 9 months after its all red dust ( I have registered a complaint at transnet only gave me a reference number no compensation yet for the damage done) and bevlieve me there are many people complaining about dust damage to there homes in Saldanha@@haydenisaacs

You never told us what happened to the engines that pull the train , do they go round and round or do they have a special engine that shunts the rolling stock to the tipper ???

The Steel mill, Saldanha Steel or Arcelor Mittal has stopped opperation in 2020 but the activities on the video are not affected by the closed steel factory

Nice video. You obviously do not live in this area. In the video you say Saldanha is not red, only the terminal is red. WRONG ..... the whole area is red.....
