The Story of Jersey Homesteads-DESTINATION ANYWHERE

On this episode of Destination Anywhere, we explore the unique history of Roosevelt, NJ. Originally known as Jersey Homesteads, Roosevelt started as a New Deal-era Co-Op town designed to move urban Jewish workers out of congested cities and into their own rural development. While the project would ultimately change from its original intent, a small close-knit community would develop that still exists today in Monmouth County.
