@@kathrynseaton6750 Their standard answer is 'It's nature'. They make money by making commercial videos but in most cases they refuse to help in such situations. Yes, it was terribly sad to such poor little cub but few great lessons for us humans to learn from it, such as the sheer will of the cub to fight it out and the great love and affection shown by his siblings. May nature protect us all and give us wisdom to live in peace and harmony and enrich our lives.

Yeah, except, 1. It's VERY illegal to intervene in nature in wildlife parks such as this one. You're even made to sign legal papers saying you won't intervene and that you accept liability if you do intervene. 2. If you intervene, the lions, being close by, they'd most likely kill you as even though they had abandoned him, instinct would take over. 3. That cub is well over the age of "I don't know what you are, but I'll trust you. Cubs at that age need to be used to humans or they'll be fearful for most of their life and a threat to your own life. 4.If people found you with him, they'd take him away and have him euthanized since you need VERY SPECIFIC licenses to own wildlife and since he clearly couldn't be released into the wild and most wildlife sanctuaries wouldn't be able to give him a quality life in a pride. You'd just be delaying the inevitable. I'm sorry to say it, but sometimes, it's best to let nature take its course rather than intervene and get heart break no matter how hard you try.
@cinqbuns2 жыл бұрын
@@Whatthefudgecookie its like humans cant make a shelter for animals like this to actually help since it will 100% die in nature. but when it is about profit we can cage them in zoos, no we dont intervene then. using the human law ("illegal" LOL) on animals..... just lol
@Whatthefudgecookie2 жыл бұрын
@@cinqbuns No, we can't and I will explain why. That lion cub was already at the age where it trusted lions and not people. It is more humane to let the animal die naturally then take it to a strange place surrounded by strange creatures to ultimately be euthanized since they can't help it. You don't think. People can't help every single wild animal and people make it illegal to intervene with nature because if there are exceptions, who's to say people who know nothing about animals, like you, would try to help and just get yourself or others hurt. A lion at that age still has its front claws and teeth and given that he's had to drag around his body on his front legs, they're probably strong enough to give you a good few scratches. That lion was suffering, it's more humane to let it die than to try to help it and prolong suffering. A lion like that for 1. would not be accepted into a new pride and most likely be killed if tried to go to a new pride. and for 2, a lonely lion is no lion at all. Lions need companionship and to keep it locked away in a cage because no other lions will accept it is just cruel and inhumane. People like you who know nothing about nature and nothing about animals in general need to stop acting like nature is some fairytale world. Nature is cruel and harsh and that young lion got off significantly easy compared to how many animals could go. It could have been surrounded by hyenas, eaten by a crocodile, a leopard... Honestly, that lion, whether you know it or not, is food for other animals too. Taking a wild animal into captivity just because your feelings got hurt disrupts the ecosystem, so if you care about nature or ecosystem in the slightest, you'll stop acting like this ONE lion's life actually mattered. I'm sorry if it sounds harsh, but it's the sad, unfortunate truth. I love animals, but I also respect and understand nature. And with zoos... Yeah the animals in zoos have been bred in captivity. They've never seen the wild, they never will see the wild and if they got released into the wild, they would die. I don't like it personally, but there's nothing that can be done. Zoos are massive companies with too many supporters and animals to just be stopped. If all zoos to be shut down, do you have any idea how many caged animals would either be abandoned or euthanized because nobody would take them or because they would have nowhere to go? Thousands and possibly millions. It's unnecessary carnage because some people get butt hurt that some animals aren't living in nature and live a better, longer, healthier life than wild lions do. Seriously, all the zoo animals wouldn't survive in the wild, so let's not worry about them, because a large majority of them would die regardless.
@imok34872 жыл бұрын
@@cinqbuns I don't get this "only for profit " argument. Animals are expensive, you need proper resources to take care of them. Of course if you own a sanctuary or zoo you'd want to make some money to continue the business...

Would have been a ‘true king’? Huh? 25-40% of them survive in the first place - roughly 1 in 3. Assuming he makes it to age 2 without a pride takeover(killing him instantly), he goes out as a nomad and potentially gets injured or killed trying to take a pride. There is zero predictability in male cubs becoming whatever a ‘true king’ is?

The story is, the film makers of this documentary have a policy of only intervening when an animal has been met with misfortune caused by humans. According to someone citing an interview, the film makers left the lion cub to follow the pride, and the cub was no longer at the location when they returned, so probably fell prey to hyenas or vultures. Personally, I have a different take on humans intervening. We've already so negatively impacted this species due to our own exploits, that I don't think it would worsen the situation to help injured animals on occasion.

Ok I don't get the triggered people and I see three kind 1: people who get mad for the people not stepping in. They legally cant, and it's a dangerous situation, however, after they were abandoned, there is a chance they could be captured and used for educational readons, but they were not a cub anymore, so they would have to be lucky. 2: people who are saying that you couldn't fix the cub because it was the spine. No, it was the hip, as they stated in the video. 3: people who are yelling "let nature take its course it doesn't matter" yes, nature can be cruel and we shouldn't interfere, however, there is nothing wrong with stepping in at times. We do enough damage against the environment and sometimes we have to do our best to make up for that. And that sort of view is often used by people who don't belive humans should really care about the inviroment, and that is a dangerous outlook

This pride showed more loyalty to a fatal injury but Misfit's pride abandoned him for much less.
