I thought the same. It also says that he "was ousted from his own company" as if the government somehow used illegitimate pressure. What really happened is simply that people bought VK shares on the market and a majority of shareholders eventually changed the company's leadership. A completely legitimate occurrence. Who cares about VK (of Facebook, for that matter) anyway? But I'm a big fan of Telegram and hope Durov continues to stick it to the NSA, FSB, GSHQ and whoever else wants to read our private conversations.
