Dragons are most likely symbology. As its possible they did exist, its more probable they did not. They could symbolize spiritual chaos or simply Satan. As man conquered fire, warded away the wild predatory animals, and use it for safety, the next greatest possible threat could be an animal that harnessed the power of the flame.

The dragon legend is about his spiritual battle with which he recognised Rome was being spirituality ruled and manipulated by Satan. In the bible Satan has three titles. 1. Satan when he comes to tempt a nation to live sinfully. This feeds the ground for total reign by him. 2. Lucifer. This is when he comes as an angel of light. Tearing down traditions with new demonic doctrines. 3. The dragon. This is when he has done the previous to a nation and sends them out to destroy. Rome at the time of Saint George was at the latter stage hence its spiritual name the dragon. George defeated the dragon with his death just like his master Jesus did.

St George was actually born in Cappadocia, Turkey, around 270AD. St George was a high-ranking officer in the Roman army who protested against the Romans' torture of Christians. Roman emperor Diocletian ordered his death for failing to recant his faith. And that's how he became a Christian martyr

Kind of ironic that St. George is a Palestinian origin and its the Palestinian people that he was trying to save from the evil (dragon) but most western government currently ignored Palestinian plea of being oppressed.
@bobnielsen76612 жыл бұрын

@@Jorge-dh1hp St George story is similar to Robin Hood or the piper playing his horn and tricking all the rats out the city. Or however the children story goes. But they are all stories from the same regions that explain the removal of "ppl" from a land or stealing from those rich ppl to give to their own community. The ppl of the snake or who worship the snake religiously were who "St George" removed from the British isle. He also represents a new regime or form of thought.
@JJSPARROW19782 жыл бұрын
Exactly. The story should me more focused on the slaying of the Dragon and who it represents. The ending of human sacrifice, blood magik/drinking, cannibalism, child stuff, slavery etc. He is a western warrior defending against the push of the Dragon and the Dragon Families. What does the dragon do in the Hobbit. Sits on its horded gold. Where is its lair today? Where the gold is. Does human sacrifice, blood magik/drinking, cannibalism, child stuff, slavery? War, ritual murders, kidnappings, slavery (debt is a bondage, bondage is slavery, unless you volunteered).
@davidcampbell71682 жыл бұрын
@@JJSPARROW1978 yes, but all stories are allegory or parables. The dragon is representing a group of people. Also the dragon can represent a thought form or process. The gold or jewels that the dragon hordes can dually represent the same thing.
