Fascinating. I grew up in Armley not too far from the former Ledgard depot on what then would have been Lamb Hill off Armley Road. I knew he ran bus services but had no idea of the extent and geography until I watched this. Thank you. Looking forward to part 2.

@@georgearmitage5939 Very Close. I remember the smell of the yeast. I quite liked the smell of it as a kid.It used to be certain days of the week when they vented it after a batch was ready. I'm guessing that with the original Tetley Brewery very near that it was a commercial Yeast maker not for bread but for brewing many for a few good years after. I'm talking 60s 70s

Interesting collection of photos, mostly dating from the final decade of their operation. Locally, the pronunciation of Ledgard is not "Led-guard" but Led-jard or Led-jerd.
