It’s funny, I think this was my first time hearing the OG version. I remember reading a dogshit revision, where once the doctors go into the room at the end of the 15 days, the patients have fused into one form, and you basically jump to the end where they talk about what they are. It very much jumps the shark and ruins the balance of realism and hokey-ness that this version maintained.
