Thank you very much! This is of course taking WoW-lore a bit more than the regular WoW gamer but I like it a lot. And as Horde player, I knew that those pointy ears was just a sub-set of the real Powah!

The zandalari were on somewhat friendly terms with us back in vanilla as they asked us to help fight hakkar in ZG. They were a rep as well. And they sold us gear. But the prophet zul forsaw the cataclysm and begged king rastakhan for them to leave. The king refused but did state if the cataclysm happens, zul would be granted enough power to take some of thier trolls and look for a new home. Zul tried banding the trolls together but it failed, so they tried old allies and it failed. Most believe zandalari is gone. But its very much there, just broken. And slowly disolving into the ocean. The zandalari are doomed if they dont leave or find away to save themselves.. ( fun fact. Rastakhan's name. Rasta is a term used in Jamaica , while khan means king. So his name is basicly Jamaican king. XD)

Great job on this, Bellular. Although for future reference, please refer the Well of Eternity incident as "the Sundering", and not the "Shattering". It could confuse some, as the Shattering was Deathwing's first cataclysm in 4.0.6, and the Sundering is the breaking of Ancient Kalimdor.

Nah, your all wrong! its going to be Vol´jin going crazy and nuking down Ironforge or some other major city! The alliance still has to much castles to blow up! This way we get a crazed warchief (reminds me of someone) AND the major Troll patch we all like and love.

From everything I've looked into and read, the night elves being trolls changed by the well of eternity is just the theory. Not to say it doesn't have credit but it isn't canon as of yet. What I think is more likely and interesting is if the trolls and night elves share a common ancestor, and what if these ancestors still existed somewhere in the world? It could be a great story moment finding a tomb or cave with the ancient ancestors in a deep slumber. Who were the first people of Azeroth besides the Aqir and how powerful are they? What secrets of Azeroth's history could be uncovered? Far more interesting stuff if you ask me.

BellularGaming Unless there's been some recent change, then no. Blizzard have credited the theory within their own lore, but that is it. "Little is known about the night elves' precise origins, for their race was formed so long ago that no hard evidence has surfaced to prove or invalidate this theory. All that is known for certain is that a tribe of nocturnal humanoids came to live on the shores of the first Well of Eternity, and the Well's cosmic energies changed them into the night elves we know today." The theory has credit, but unless something has changed, it isn't confirmed. Whilst there is an obvious visual parallel between dark trolls and the night elves, neither the dark trolls or the trolls as an entire race ever been known to be nocturnal. Some ancient nocturnal humanoids came to the well of eternity, but that's all we know.

Ryan Kennedy I think the are leaning the way of elf evolving from troll with something said on twitter or some where . I think they are working on a graphic novel this fall that will have creation lore in it such as Titans , old gods , trolls ect. The ever shifting story of whats cannon and not cannon in Lore terms is a fun game as they clean up loose ends I think they want to have something pretty strait by the time the movie series starts next year

Oh I agree and I can't wait for Warcraft Chronicles to come along and hopefully tidy up stuff. But I think it's important when talking about lore specifically to separate canon from theory. I could be wrong and maybe Blizzard did confirm this, but I can't find any evidence anywhere where they confirmed it.

Hey Bellular! All the best at your Uni whilst keeping up with Lore videos; much appreciate it. You said that the dark-skinned trolls which become the night elves due to the power/being near of the Well of Eternity changed them. Do the current night elves know that they evolved from trolls? That would mean that potentially; could they start worshipping the Loa as well?

I'f you'd consider to make a full human lore video from start to finnish, I'd be a happy goat. Since they are my favourite race (oddly enough) I've searched far and wide all over youtube and havent found anything about human lore in a video like this. Sure I could read up on wowwiki and such but this is more enjoyable:) Anyways I like your content overall, I'm not bashing. I was just thinking :) keep up the goodie worky!

A troll expansion to kill Rastakhan is inevitable. Ppl have talked about azshara and naga expansion, the emerald dream, the dark below and a burning legion expansion so damn much. Why are ppl ignoring the zandalari??? To stay alive on Zandalar....and to even get there.....Horde and alliance must work togheter. A troll expansion will prob be with the south seas and kul tiras....i think the trolls shoumd get one of em own tho. I wanna know more about the loa and if there is any connectiln to old gods or titans in there. There has been so much titans vs old gods. What about a third counterpart?
