Aaron... another great job sharing the realities behind coding, especially in a large company. I've spent over 15 years coding on a half a dozen projects in a fortune 100 company and the biggest challenge has always been trying to understand an existing code base that you've been thrown in to. IMHO... coding on large existing projects have become even more difficult because endless Agile sprints speed up development where project tribal knowledge is designed and transferred orally and former software engineering practices are dismissed as being waterfall, which is a one word catch phrase to dismiss everything not Agile. Keep up the good work!

Respect dude. I can appreciate the transparency. I am also self taught in mostly everything I know. I was initially homeless for two years. I worked a bunch of odd jobs and now I am trying to transition into tech. I am considering picking up your program mostly for the mentorship aspect. I’ve already learned CSS , HTML , JS and have started with Golang. My current focus has been trying to build an insurtech application for the industry I’m currently working in and hopefully sell it.

Aaron, when this video popped up in my feed I ignored it for almost 24hrs and forgot about it. Then it pops up again just a few minutes ago... I have not taken your bootcamp, and I'm not sure that I will, but I do know that I don't give the first F*#< if you got fired from Uber. I didn't even watch this video. I DO subscribe to your channel. The information that you provide is incredibly useful. As a new Developer, I do an ENORMOUS amount of research on just how to learn or do something. There's a lot of trash out there and it's real easy for a self taught beginner to get confused or lost. I have been working front end since June - from the very gravel - no experience AT ALL. I launched my first client site in July and the client is SUPER happy with it. Your helpful videos are still a major reference for me. I'm very grateful for how openly helpful the programming community is to those of us just getting here. You know your s#!t. I could careless who fired you. Your information works well for me.

I’ve recently started learning through Freemote. It’s an outstanding bootcamp!! I believe Aaron’s background as a teacher plays a big part in how well put together the courses are. I’m learning a lot and learning it fast. I just started on my first real world project yesterday. It’s challenging, but I love it. Aaron is a wealth of knowledge and the model they have for mentorship is very well thought out in my opinion. The quizzes are great but they make you think and sometimes you have to find the answers for the practice projects, just like in the real world. I’m not there yet, but so far, I feel that the course is preparing me very well. If you’re wanting to learn to code, I highly recommend at least checking it out. Aaron and Jan, I can’t say thanks enough for what you are doing. With all of that said, lunch is over, so back to this project.

I quit my job to focus on self teaching myself front end. I have been doing gig work to pay the bills. Door dash, Insta cart. I fucking love it. Something invigorating about being responsible to make myself go out, make my money goal for the day as fast as possible so I can get home and start studying. I go to bed feeling like I really kicked the days ass, and I have no one to give credit to but myself. Some days I might not hit my goals, the next day when I do hit them or make up for it REALLY feels good. Thanks for the video

I actually find the worth in what you offer to be what I gain from it in terms of greater insight and understanding of the subject Im trying to learn. And from that perspective every other thing, especially of a personal nature to do with your life, your past, your personality traits or your private life, is completely superfluous. I appreciate you mainly because you have a prodigious talent for explaining coding concepts in succinct ways that I can refer to as many times as I need for them to sink in deeply. You have a way with putting across the nitty gritty of the subject and the industry that commands interest and furthers understanding.
