Thanks for sheding light on wrestling predators. I think one of the reasons they are not talked about more is the sorry state of wrestling journalism. Most websites that cover wrestling just parrot press releases or stuff said on Twitter. There is very little investigative journalism, even behind a paywall like PW Torch or the Observer. I'll leave it to you to work out which is more notorious, suffice to say that they're not exactly boy scouts out west. If you go to California, you can grab a bucket of popcorn, watch an angry mob assault and chase a woman around a university, hole her up in a room for three hours, then appreciate the fact that the university in question (San Francisco) refused to punish any of the students involved (I am, of course, talking about the disgusting attack on Riley Gaines). What did Gov. Newsom say in response? Nothing, he was too busy using his Twitter page to police Tennessee gun laws--when he's *meant* to be the Governor of California. A high profile athlete is bashed in the face by a man, given death threats, then chased across campus, this all happens in California, and Newsom thinks it's a non-issue. Now that *is* something that has only happened in California. Look up how many drag queen story time people are convicted sex offenders. It's happening in many places in the United States. I don't know the ins and outs of the case in question, but I do know that in Florida, they don't allow grown men who pretend to be women to use the same toilets as females (or at least they don't encourage it). Likewise, they don't allow men to pretend to be women so that they can compete against women in sports.

Ugh. Stuff like that last story really make me question my thoughts on whether convictions are rehabilition, punishment, or a mix of both. Because yeah he's done his penance, stayed re-offense free (I assume) and worked with the system...but I really don't think he should have any contact with minors at all. Putting aside my personal thoughts (that he should spend the rest of his life sealed up to his neck in cement), that he's not prohibited from ANY contact with minors feels like a massive fuck-up on the part of the legal system. For anyone wondering the details of Chasyn Rance story, since it's never actually said in any of these videos I've ever watched talking about it, when he was 25 he slept with a 15 year old girl who wrote about it in her diary. Her mom discovered the diary and went to police. The girl admitted she lied about her age by 2 years, saying she was 17 but that he'd wanted to wait until she was 18. That's why he got a very light punishment legally other than having to register as a sex offender.
