Wow! This is so emotional to watch. I hardly ever come across people my in my age group with Type 1. I’m 23 as well and was diagnosed at 11. I went to sleep and fell into a diabetic coma with a blood sugar of 2500 (YES, two thousand). Spent two months in a coma on life support, but I made it out! It’s not easy at all and it’s surely not fair but you can manage and lead whatever live you have planned for yourself. Everything will be okay. Your blood sugars will regulate if they haven’t already and you will be just fine. 💜 This is great and your journey will inspire many!

This is AMAZING!!! I felt everything you said! I am 36 and was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at the age of 10❣️ It was definitely life changing for me and my family when I was diagnosed. Like you, I was thinking I can’t be cute and a diabetic!!! Fast forward, it has been 26 years and God has truly shown me mercy and Grace🙌🏾 I would often times wonder what was my purpose for having to live with this disease...I’m now a Registered Nurse and I have met so many patients living with diabetes and have been able to share information, shed tears and build lasting relationships with people who deal with diabetes! Take care, you have a great support system and I look forward to seeing more of Divabetic #T1D

So glad you are able to share your health journey with others! Divabetic is going to SUCH an amazing thing! You have the potential to help so many young people who may be too embarrassed to follow up with their health and succumb to their illness. Your heart is so pure and I’m so so proud of you!! Can’t wait to hear how many lives you’re going to save and impact with sharing your story. Rooting for you!
