I made a fun 'lil game using The StoryGraph to help me pick which books to buy!
Here are the rules:
1. Open your StoryGraph account to the main page and see the randomly selected books in the TBR section.
2. In Goodreads, read the synopsis of each book (to refresh your memory)!
3. Using a random number generator (if you're boring) or slips of paper and a hat (if you're fun), randomly select a number.
4. The numbers correspond to the order the books appear on that TBR feature. The selected number is the winner!
Let me know if you play this as well, it's a great little brain break if you're overwhelmed at work ;)

I love this idea! Great way to keep up with some of those TBR veteran titles.

Nice picks, I look forward to seeing what you think about the Gothic tales. Goethe is frequently considered Germany's greatest writer but finding good translations can be somewhat of a task. The artist manifestos seems interesting too, I really haven't read much in that class of literature myself but theory can be quite thought provoking. The only ones I remember reading are Ayn Rand's Romantic Manifesto, Aristotle's Poetics, Sidney and Shelley's Defenses of Poetry, Plato's Ion (and other relevant dialogues) and Nietzsche's Birth of Tragedy. I should really read more though, both pertaining to that and generally speaking....

That volume of manifestos might be a good one to pick up, then! It covers a lot and you can read whichever ones you like at whim!
