This intro is such an enigmatic opuscule. The tone of the presentation is set, revelatory and foreboding.

And they've completely conquered our civilization. They're going to exterminate or enslave us. There's no hope for the physical Earth, not for the time being anyways. I guess things could only get better once it seems all hope is lost and the Camp of the Saints has dwindled to a handful. I doubt things will turn around in my lifetime.

Fr. Josemaria, the Founder of the Opus Dei, has been accused of being M@r@no, and had a knowledge of T@lmood during the founding of his organization. It was said he lamented his hand picked members (numeraries) becoming priests, because he was an advocate of revolutionary lay participation in the church, or a priesthood of all (proto-V2). The “priesthood of all” concept continually makes it’s appearance the more you investigate V2, and the movements that built up to the Council. Just an observation. Edit: I should have made clear that the part of your discussion on Joachim de Fiori brought on this thought. Very similar aspects between these two persons, particularly the notion of “false conversion” and novelties that undermine the Church.

I enjoyed the discussion as this is a fascinating topic, but I'm still not sure which conclusions are you gonna have (I smell sedevacantism), so I'm not paying for subscription. I subscribed to your YT channel tho, as you got me definitely intrigued and the intro was lit!

The scope that Will and I have agreed on is the one stated in his introduction. We don't have any intention of touching on the occupancy or vacancy of the seat.

Thanks for listening! Neither of us are sedevacantist. The purpose here is to trace a historical trend that appears explicitly in the thought of John Paul II but not to challenge his legitimacy as Vicar.

I’m sorry, Will, but I just can’t. I’ve been a cradle Catholic for 55 years, and I do agree on Tradition and not on Modernity, but I simply choose to believe in devotions that we are not even required to believe: One is The Divine Mercy Chaplet, and the other is Medugorje. What I am completely sick and tired of is the fractures and divisions within the Church.

Subbed! One question: what about Dostoevsky's concept of Russia as the "Christ of peoples"? "Namely the Russians, thought Dostoevsky, would set the basis for “the universal reconciliation of peoples” and the “renewal of men upon Christ’s true principles” (Diary of a Writer, 1876, June). The Eastern ideal, i.e. the ideal of Russian Orthodoxy, is first the spiritual unity of humanity in Christ, and then, by virtue of this spiritual uniting of all in Christ, surely the proper sovereign and social unification” (Diary of a Writer, 1877, May-June). Such an ideal is the application of Khomyakov’s formulated principle of catholicity [sobornost] not only to the order of the Church, but also to the sovereign order, the economic system, and even to the international organization of humanity."
@analogiaentis2 ай бұрын
@@voxpopuli8132 seems like he was infected, by some degree, with the romantic nationalism of the early modern age. Although correct in a sense, the nation must be subject within the integral order. Its sovereignty comes from above.
