I always thought his character in Piarates of the Caribbean had a Hunter feel to it as well and then you have Rango; a lizard sporting glasses, a cap and a Hawaiian shirt lost on the outskirts of the desert. Hunter inspired me in my youth in many ways both good and bad and I'm the better for it.

Depp nailed Hunter’s mannerisms, voice, energy, etc.. Even looked like him in the movie 😂 I can see how they are best friends. They both are odd ducks made for each other. Wish I would’ve been able to hang with Thompson 🚬🔫✌🏽
