Matthew's mother says he is one of the "kindest, most compassionate" persons she knows. A man who is kind and compassionate does not betray his wife and mother of his 4 children by committing adultery. I also love how earlier in the video the mother describes Alex say, "she knew he was married; she knew he had 4 children" as if she was the problem. Did not her son know he was married and that he had 4 children and that he was committing adultery?

Unpopular view perhaps, but I don't believe this was proved beyond reasonable doubt. 1. The prosecution assertion that he fired behind the door (thus no blood splatter on him) means that he would have fired blind and hit her in the side temple with 1 shot. That is far fetched. Nor was it ever stated whether there were flash burns at the wound to indicate whether it was a short or long range discharge. Was there or not? And why no test of the door for blood spatter residue nor evidence of any cleaning agent in the apartment? 2. If her legs were far enough apart, (i.e her left foot was past the door frame), opening it would *not* sweep both legs. 3. Police labs can hack a phone. Saying they couldn't get into the phone and the BF conveniently losing his phone at the same time reeks of evidence suppression. 4. Those with a history of past suicide attempts and substance abuse have a 37% likelihood of trying again according to the National Institute of Health. That's a huge number and increases the burden of proof not lessens it. Can't convict a person if you're 50%-70%--80% "sure." Beyond reasonable doubt is 95%+...and this wasn't.

It seems like they went to bars looking for her bf so Matthew could confront him. When they got back the probably had a argument cause he found out she set him up in the bar to make her bf jealous. They probably got into a heated argument. She had a argument with her bf on the phone. She unalived herself during a further argument in the apartment or Matthew unalived her. What for damn sure Matthew is hiding something & lying? Who replaces the gun like that? The high risk life Alex led cause her death. 3 toxic ppl using & abusing each other, add alcohol & drugs & it was the perfect powder keg for things to go awfully wrong.

Way too many questions & reasonable doubt- for starters, he reached around the door to shoot her (blindly, yet perfectly) in the temple & that's why there's no blood splatter? And even though he washed his hands (there's more than one sink in that apartment, & they never mentioned the other one!) He still would've had gsr on his arm & sleeve- he couldn't have washed that off! Also, there was no mention of testing the distance at which the gun was fired from her head or the angle, I feel like those are pretty pertinent pieces of information for determining guilt. And if he was just "feeding her addiction" by refilling her meds, then why did he refill ALL of her meds- including the antidepressants? Then there's the whole door ring thing being underneath her, which has several possibilities. Her violent p$ycho bf could've busted that off beforehand on one of his "not-like-him" nights while fighting with her, it could've been kicked or shuffled around by the cops, paramedics, or even when the ME moved her body! Finally, and this is the one that gets me, the ME couldn't even rule her death one way or the other. It was ruled "undetermined." I don't know what that jury was thinking, but there's just too many questions left unanswered & too many things that don't point conclusively one way or the other!

He was in shorts on the pictures and I doubt he went in shorts to the bar, cause they were wearing wintercoats. So he undressed obviously. It is a mistake from the cops that they did not ask him, why are you in shorts when you are wearing different clothes on the surveillence camera pictures? He is a nurse so he knows how to wash his hands not to find GSR on his hadns and arm, and clothes.
@jaimeprice-anderson21346 күн бұрын
@@iammz81 he changed when they came back. It's all in the police transcripts. Simply rinsing with water will not wash off any and all traces of GSR. The prosecutors ignored the standards of circumstantial evidence review in MN. He will be exonnerated.

A tale as old as time: Matt still wanted to be with Alex, she still wanted to be with Shane. Matt was probably mad that she wanted to be with Shane after all their fighting- plus Matt kept helping her with prescriptions, money, etc... so he thinks "why would you pick him over me"? That's my theory of what they were fighting about after the bar- what could've possibly been his motive. Strange case but i definitely think Matt is guilty.

@@dtharge4082 were there any or was she just looking to see if there was a reply or possibly answering an email? Maybe she wrote one but if Shane didn’t have his phone, she couldn’t have been fighting with him over texts. I’m sure if they were relevant they would have been introduced as evidence.

I’d love the wife to weigh in on if she suspects his guilt. I get that the boyfriend’s phone might have been missing that night but have they not gotten into the cloud or downloaded HER phone? Id like to know how she convinced him to come to town and go drinking while she was on meds. I’d also like to know exactly how he broke down the door and if there was blood on the back of the door as they speculated his position. Was the kitchen sink dry? Did they not bother to test his clothes or arms for GSR? That graphic of her arm/hand position was TERRIBLE. No one heard anything? Did she want him to move in because she needed help with her rent? So many holes in this report. My feeling is both men are not being honest but for very different reasons.
