When Classic killed Rogue with a mass blink DT backstab :D Parting's proxy gate adept build comes to mind too, with his weird nexus timings and everything And Marinelord had some good ones before he left for aoe4 like when he faked a macro tvp but instead of making his orbital he made a proxy rax with marauders across the map

One of the more creative plays I’m surprised doesn’t get used as often is Zerg players using overlords to spread creep and build spine crawlers towards their enemy base. I’ve used spread creep to hide tech structures on the map. Protoss also can create power fields with the warp prism but only use it to warp in units. Hide a tech structure, or use one to power up an unpowered building.

I think pigbaby pulling out 2 base tempest in g7 vs bomber in the finals of wcs season 2 2014 is probably my favourite weird strategy that actually worked. Seeing rotti get really excited about it too was just wonderful.
