I bought one. Probably the heaviest Strat I've ever played. Not that it's a bad thing. Set up, quality and craftsmanship are the best I've seen on a Strat and probably tge best sounding in my personal opinion. I also own a Pro and 60th Anniversary Commemorative. This thing is a cut above.

I have a 2014 60th anniversary 54 and it’s definitely the lightest strat I own. Not sure why they made these new ones so heavy 🤔

That's what I've noticed. Everyone I've seen weigh well over 8 lbs. If I can find one that weighs closer to 7 lbs even I'll buy one, but don't see that happening. Been playing Strats for exactly 50 years now and know what I like. I'm 70 this year, too.

Definitely a bad thing for me. The ones I've played so far have been boat anchors, 8.5 - 9.5 lbs. That's obnoxiously heavy for a Strat in my opinion.

Mine is 8.4 lbs there are light ones out there! Also collectors will say 1954 Strats tend to be heavier than any other year.

Why do some version have a 1 ply pick guard, and other 3?

I have one of these also. Funny thing about it though, the saddles are stamped so when I'm playing it the text is upside down.

try one yourself it is fantastic these audios on some reviews are really poor. I own 2 other Strats ...96 and 2010. makes my others sound like dead wood.
