As a Shichibukai he had links with the government but as an underworld dealer he had dealings with Kaidou and other powerful pirates. So pretty much taking Doflamingo out is the the trigger for the whole domino effect and the start of a new chapter.

The reason Usopp's bounty jumped $170 million is that when he turned the toys back into humans, he basically released a lot of pirates back outside the factory. It's almost like freeing those prisoners from Impel Down, but also technically releasing a Celestial Dragon's slaves.

I'm convinced Blackbeard shared the secret to having two fruits to his crew and that's why Burgess figured Luffy ate the Mera-Mera No Mi but wasn't surprised in the slightest. I'm thinking it has something to do with the will of D. I just find it peculiar Blackbread convinced level 6 impel Down prisoners plus a head jailer to follow a 0 bounty unknown pirate as their captain unless he gave them some very interesting and powerful information, like having two devil fruit, but it was also information they couldn't just stab him in the back and take for themselves either because it required the Yami-Yami No Mi or the user to be a D or maybe both. There is a "rank" between a normal pirate and a Yonko, known as a "Great Pirate". This is what Luffy is steadily becoming. The Yonko are also known as the four strongest great pirates. So the are the top of these classification. A fun fact is that Shanks asked Luffy to see him again once he became a "great pirate".

I dunno if anyone else has mentioned it or if you already realized, but "56" is Luffy's number - if I remember correctly, "gomu" is 56 in Japanese - so the use of 56 and 5,600 in these episodes was very intentional! This number subtly comes up in the next major arc too, but I'll wait til that happens before I point it out. (I also realized during this episode that this means the marines actually went to Doflamingo's room to get him another pair of glasses since his broke from Luffy's King Kong Gun.) I remember being really excited for some reason when I watched this next filler arc and realized that one of the characters is 100% based on Axl Rose of Guns 'n' Roses. There have been subtle references, like Diamante to Steven Tyler, but this guy is a perfect match!

To me it was the worst arc since East Blue :/ Too slow, too reminiscent of Alabasta (which could be fine, this arc is supposed to show what happens if Crocodile had won, in theory it's a good idea, in practice it was repetitive overly long and boring. By One Piece standards at least, it was still great overall). And while Doflamingo has certain interesting thematics to him (like the fact that he's basically a pathetic man-child who hides his constant anger behind a smile, that's a pretty interesting and rare concept for a villain) I was sort of disappointed by the execution. It also had the worst princesses of the series.

Doflamingo's devil fruit is characterized so well, as the skills he uses during the fights. His mental disorder is amazing. The backstories, the Colosseum, the story about the toys, the Donquixote Family, the fairies..Every character played the right role in this saga. The only thing I didn't fully appreciated was the Top Officers' power cause they were no match for Straw Hats. But I really loved Dressrosa in all its parts.

About Law & Sengoku talking, It's mostly closure for Law. Although Law love Corazon, he still had doubt about why Corazon wanted to help him so much. Like, is it really bcz Corazon really care for Law...or is it bcz he is a "D". Was Corazon just doing a 'secret mission' from navy, in saving him? That's why he asked Sengoku about this. Sengoku said that Corazon really had no more idea about D, so he really hid nothing from Law. So, "Don't try to find reason for someone's love for you" is what Sengoku advice to Law.

That's why people think that knife has been made specially to steal DF ability. And since BB's fruit can temporarily absorb the power from DF users (as shown against Ace), it stands to reason that maybe he did something weird with his fruit to allow the creation of a weapon that can kill while stealing powers. Love the reaction! yeah i think Luffy has like 5x the size of whitebeard's crew from Marineford its crazy! About Burgess, if i remember correctly, i think he wanted to get luffy's devil fruit anyways back when luffy talked to blackbeard over the den den mushi. so maybe he saw him eat the fruit, it clicked that its not luffy. but later on he saw luffy weakened and he still wanted his gomu gomu fruit and saw it as easy pickings. Then he realized who the person who ate the fire fruit was when sabo attacked him and thats why he brought up Ace.

Law was trying to ask Sengoku, if Rosinante might have tried to save him, because he is a D. Sengoku finally told him, Rosinante didn't know, what the D meant, that wasn't the reason. And overall, he shouldn't search for any other reasons, just because he finds it hard to believe, that Rosinante saved him out of love. Sengoku mostly wanted some closure. Ironically, he also wanted to know the reason Rosinante died for, but he accepted quickly, it was out of love for Law.
