Remember all the way back on Thriller Bark. Sanji once said as a child, he read a book on devil fruits and wished he had the invisible fruit. Now, back then it was played in the Sanji's a pervert who only wanted to peep but let's be honest, he wanted that fruit so he could hide from his family. Something that was funny is now a tragedy.

Fun fact: the phrase "Blood is thicker than water" is actually a shortened version of an old Mafioso proverb "The blood of the covenant is stronger than the water of the womb", which was pretty much supposed to mean that you put the "Family" in front of your actual relatives. Going by the original meaning of the phrase, and how close he is to the crew, blood is definitely thicker than water for Black Leg Sanji.

Well, from this point on I just had to put Sanji as my favourite strawhat. I just couldn't help myself from doing that, since I found Sanji to be an incredibly interesting character... I got to a point where I saw myself on Sanji on some of his experiences. I'll never gonna be tired of saying it, but I truly feel like Sanji is the most human character, this guy just feels natural for some reason... His moral codes and what does he stand for; his life as a kid; his big heart; his insecurities and determination; and finally his respect for food and life itself. I can't help but relate to him, he's complex and complicated just like how a real person is. His devotion towards women is absolutely justified for me after this second background of his, the first kindhearted people that he met and saved him was his mother and sister... It just completes his characterization to the fullest. His first flashback with Zeff wasn't traumatizing enough for Oda from what it looks like... Thank you for your reaction Allona! You made me tear up just by the thumbnail....

Great reaction! Many people try to give Sanji crap for either his overt chivalry or his nose bleed shenanigans from FI, but this arc cements that you don't need to have a character kicking ass all the time to make a well rounded, relatable, and human character that shines more than most protagonists in other series.

I'm a huge sanji fan so seeing his full backstory made me love him even more and made me more attached to him as a character so all I want is for sanji is to be happy again with crew and continue going on adventures with them because he deserves happiness.

A thing you said around 41.20 just ti clarify it for you allona, reiju was fully modified in terms of her body, so she has a superhuman body, but she did retain all of her emotions, unlike the brothers who had all of their emotions taken away by the "operation"
