The Strawberry Line to Portishead Marina

Mark was out testing his new Cannondale Topstone Gravel bike, so we went to Portishead Marina, via the Strawberry line. The usual Mendip problems arose, with more closed roads, Komoot mishaps, diversions, but still plenty of fun and laughs and a few hills thrown in for good measure. Although I didn't quite expect to get my first tubeless puncture so early into my new tyres, let alone, be massively let down by my tubeless sealant.

Absolutely brilliant channel guys and great to see it growing. I live in Nailsea and love to cycle and watching your videos is a brilliant way to come up with new routes! Since changing to Stans Race (with fibres in) tubeless has been pretty reliable 👌 Nice ride again, sounding good too...👍

Thanks Mike, I’ve upgraded to a Tascam Dr-10c mic pack and I’ve been blown away with the audio quality. It just gives me more options for recording. I’ve also been and bought some Stans sealant and awaiting delivery to set up hopefully before the weekend. I did notice I have a tiny leak in the front tyre as well that hasn’t sealed. So not at all impressed with the Muc Off sealant at all.

Well done Darren and Mark on that ride. Nice that things have opened up and you could officially sit at the marina cafe. That area looks nice. I've not explored there properly, but have been to Portishead a couple of times on the bike.

It was a nice route Pete, in my head we had better views of the estuary and Severn Bridge, but there was a lot of new development around the Marina.

@@DarrenPhillips will do, priddy tea rooms is a popular stop for us of a Friday/sat, then onto the levels, you don't seem keen on gravel, but we include ham wall/shapwick, then back via godney, beautiful route
