Reintje couldn't get enough of the strawberries 🍓. When she asked for more l started to smile and laugh. Uniek liked just the one 🍓 and then politely said, "no more please." Loved the entire time spent with the Friesians!

My Shale loved plums, there were a couple trees in his pasture. When the plums were ripe he would strip off everything he could reach, then I would go out and sit on him and pick what he couldn't reach and share them with him. I always had feet covered with plummy horse slobber on these excursions... His way of thanking me, I guess!

Dear Patrizia, RS will have be seperated from Uniek and the other mares, just like the other boys. It is not possible to keep stallions, even very young ones, with the mares. Do you remember Rinse Janko's behavior? That's nature and will lead to inbreeding. They even have to keep the colts and stallions quite far away from the mares, in pastures where the boys can't see or smell the mares. Because if they do, they wil go through ditches and fences to come near the mares. So, how hard it may seem, in the end it is the best for all the horses.

Mares also reach a point where they begin to naturally separate themselves from their foals, so that both horses gain a bit of independence from each other.

@@hfloor Thank you Hennie...was just discussing this very problem with a friend recently...because the stallion and mare were in neighbouring field, the inevitable happened. Now the owners are arguing over To whom the resulting foal belongs, whose fault, etc. etc..... So ,hopefully, lesson learned.. @@lisajoyaslanis as you probably know it was a dairy farm before.....they put multiple cows in a stall I think....those large stalls where you can put multiple horses really helps with their socialization....if I ever built another stable I would build stalls this big

Haha this was quite the interesting taste test the 2 who really surprised me with it were Uniek and Johnny their reactions were the opposite of what I expected I like how Uniek ate it but immediately followed it with a bit of hay it’s classic Queen of Hunger,for his part Johnny looked at nudged it and goes “what is this round little specimen bring me some watermelon then MAYBE we’ll be on speaking terms” turns up his adorable nose in disdain.🤣😂 My dear nephew Pake Sjor’s devoured his berry right away he’s such a kind stately gentleman I adore him and am proud to be his adoptive auntie❤️❤️🍓🍓

Strawberry test was fun to watch some where like no others try it but the 2 Ladies R did good eating them. Most animals will only taste a litte of the food the very first time they are exposed to it. They will wait for a day or so before taking any more. You will be able to see how much they really like it (or not) the next time you try. It is a deep instinct to stop them from earing something that may harm them. Basically, if they survive the 1st attempt, it is assumed the food is safe to eat. Love them so much
