There are other people that could have gotten the award/can get the award next year. It was just Jerma this year. A few potential winners(for the future) are Ludwig, Pokimane, Kaceytron. Just to give you examples for the type of people, that the award is for. I personally think Kaceytron should win next year. The presence of women and the queer community on Twitch, is her legacy. She's the progenitor for both demographics on Twitch. She paved the way for women on Twitch and created the first place for the queer community on twitch.

I mean she had the worst delivery that you can have on every joke. But it's not that she was bad, not at all, you could just really see how nervous she was in front of this crowd and 200-300k people watching. Completely understandable that you wouldn't be able to perform like you do in front of your screen at home. It made her really relatable and she looked stunning nontheless.

This is the type of thing that should already exist for streamers, just built in with the separate platforms or as a collaborative effort, but in a way I'm glad it's not. I'm confident none of those platforms could ever, or would ever bother, to do something half as good as this. I'm also so happy that Jerma got the legacy award.
