Benin is a state in Nigeria. Different from Benin Republic which is a country

Benin Republic 🇧🇯 used to be Kingdom of Dahomey. They adopted the name "Benin " from Nigeria ancient Bini empire which is current Nigerian Edo state which capital is Benin City named after their Bini empire ancestry. Ever heard of Benin bronze looted from the old Bini empire Nigeria by British empire in 1894? Those fine bronze arts of the heads of the kings and Queens of the Bini empire are now scattered in British museum and all over Western countries. Lately Germany are returning theirs to Nigeria who have been demanding their repatriation back to their home country and to back to their cultural root and in the hands of their descendants the Edo people of Edo State Nigeria. Google Benin Bronze.
