I've known this song for a while now, and I wanted to find to right way to cover it, as I think that it has a really special feeling that I absolutely love. It is truly beautifully written, words, melody and harmony, so I wanted to try to not spoil any aspects. Hope you will like my version.
Julian Casablancas is a true inspiration.
For this new year's start, I thought it was the perfect song to begin with :).

Hello everyone, Thank you so much for the comments, I read you and it gives me warmth and strength to carry on, really really really. To all of you who are asking for the tabs, I'm really sorry, I don't have any, I figured it out by ear to adapt it. And I'm just terrible at tutorials haha, I can't do it. Find the chords somewhere online, and then try watching how my left and right hands go together, step by step. I think I was tuned around a half step down, I just took how my guitar was at the time and added the capo where it sounded good to me. Good luck, and thank you for listening!

Just tried to do a rendition and it seems you were tuned a full step down and Capo 3. Chords for most of the verses circle between Dm, C, G. Add an Fmaj7/A in there and you have the chorus and song. Thanks for your beautiful cover

So with his capo in the mix, he's half step higher than standard. Stick a capo on the first fret if you're in E standard tuning and save yourself the time.

It's tuned down a full step, capo on 3rd. Chord progression is C-F. The fingerpicking and chord transitions you can try figuring out with the video. I got it sorta down by just watching or doing a travis picking pattern.
