Carlos said in a podcast recently that he doesn't enjoy playing bass anymore, he doesn't own one and hasn't played since he left interpol. Which, to be honest. breaks my heart because he's one of my favourite bass players ever

This was on 2003 but the audio mixing on this is amazing, especially for a live TV performance! Bass sounds meaty, drums just have enough oomph without being overbearing. Insane job.

The production / camerawork is amazing. I’ve seen countless live music videos where they don’t even focus on the guitar player who is playing a solo, but they are always focusing on the perfect band member here.

I listened to 2 and a half tracks off of Room on Fire before hurling the CD out the car window. I realised that in order to retain the pristine brilliance of their debut I simply couldn't risk polluting it with other stuff.
