i know the strokes were big… but in my eyes they are absolutely underrated. they make any other band look like they are trying and these guys literally sound perfect

Every single one of them a born rockstar. The stars really aligned in a rare way when these young men got together.

The nostalgic vibe hit hard in this tune when I first heard it 2002. Now it sounds like an hug from a dead relative. Mindblowing how good this sounds live

I remember hearing this for the first time and instantly connecting. I’m always a big fan of 50’s - 60’s classic rock,do-wop, and R&B as well as Jamaican Ska/Reggae. I like 70’s and 80’s punk and new wave. Grew up with grandparents who listened to the great jazz crooners like Sinatra, Nat King Cole,Perry Cuomo, Tony Bennett, and Louis Prima. The Strokes are a little bit of all those things. That’s why they are always one of my favorites. Excellent live as well!

It's called Post-punk revival. They are Post-punk but they also eat even more from 50s to 60s garage rock than 80s Post-punk. That's why they sound so "beachy" in their first two albums. Legendary band.

Flawless performance. I can’t even fathom how some musicians have such an effortless way about them when it comes to performing. It’s like they are just tying their shoes or riding a bike.

Na it’s not pop man. It’s like garage rock post punk haha. Pop is like Taylor Swift or lady Gaga. Nothing wrong with it. But not accurate
@popplug33844 жыл бұрын
adriansvarela the structure and approach to the song is pop in the classic pop sense. There is pop the music genre and pop the aesthetic. I meant the latter and not the music of Ariana/Taylor etc.

@3xtan3276 ай бұрын
Never tried? Lol keep telling yourself that, kurt always wore loose clothing because he was very insecure about how skinny he was. No diss to either band tho, it’s insecurities like these that make them seem human.
