Against the dragonite you got pretty punished for attaching energy to the second abra early in the game. I think if you know you’re going to koga the weezing then you should attach the third energy to the Alakazam and take out the kangeskhan. At that point nothing can threaten the Zam fast enough to stop the sweep anyway.
