Nice tidy work, coming along well. You can use weld through primer or cold galv paint where you are welding and weld right through it. Also, I’d recheck your measurements and how you are measuring it as it might not be as bad as you think. Can’t wait for some more updates. Cheers

Penetrol is excellent. Can seal bare steel and convert surface rust properly, make a chassis look brand new without looking like you've just slapped rattlecans of chassis-black over rust.

Bud i'd be amazed if the other axle is any different, as the measurement your getting is exaggerated by the length of the Ali.... Measure the ali closer to the axle tube, it'll be nothing..... Great work.. 👍

if the bends towards the front, ie more toe in, it wouldn't have any effect, but if its toe out I'd be concerned

17:04 ...as to be expected! This is a typical bending after welding with a lot of heat. Which cannot be avoided. Actually I dot understand why all people I have seen (mostly from AUS) are welding these completely? A 50% welding is more than sufficient to hold strength. Similar to a chassis. (of course one needs to seam seal the rest)
