Hafthor Julius Bjornsson, aka "The Mountain' from 'Game of Thrones", was truly dominant at Europe's Strongest Man from 2014 to 2019
Thor won 5 ESM Titles in that period with only 2016 breaking his perfect record.
That record is impressive but witness the power in this highlighted video inc the "10 extraordinary moments of strength" by Thor at the legendary Giants Live contest each year.

The problem is we'll never know. He was at his peak and he has decided to go, and for good. Anyone could argue that if he was to continue he'd become stronger, arguably the strongest, but the same could've been argued about Eddie's static strength. At the end of the day, all the could've and would've, don't matter. Although even from what we've seen, he definitely is one of the strongest ever.

Thor is definitely up there in top 5. But for strongest ever, that has to go to Brian Shaw. He handled 700KG Yokes like a backpack, the manhood stone like a pebble, giant dumbbells like toys, and he beat Thor and Eddie on deadlift events before his hamstring injury. Brian Shaw May be the strongest man to walk this planet.

A A2327 u can’t look at deadlift as the only measure of strength. People act like it’s the ultimate test and although it is a great test overall strength in various events shows true strength, not just a single specialty. And also Eddie Hall himself said he believed Shaw is the strongest.

Top Doge perhaps now but one lift doesn’t put him at the top. The only reason he won the Arnold’s is because Mateusz scored low in the deadlift. I’ll give Thor credit where it’s due as IMO he would’ve won WSM 19’ easily had it not been his injury. But strongest ever, don’t see it.

Personally, I believe Thor is the strongest all round ever, even Colin Bryce said that. Big Z is the greatest strongman in terms of achievement and longevity. Z, Shaw and Thor are the best 3 ever imo.

I think you are misunderstanding the question though, of course Big Z and Brian are more accomplished strongmen but if you look purely at strength I think Hafthor at his prime was stronger than either one at their respective prime.

Purely strength wise big z was far more powerful and has proven himself time and again . But to me Thor only has 1 WSM title , if he had stayed and proven himself I'd agree with you

Eddie hall in 2016 and 2017 he detatched his full mussle from his middel finger in 2016 and still came 3e and in 2017 first he deadlifted 500KG and then as if it wasn't enough he won strongman

Everyone suffers from injurys. Hafthor had a torn quad at WSM 2017. And Hafthor beat Eddie at both WSM 2016 and Europe's Strongest Man 2017 and at WSM 2017 Eddie only beat him by 1 point

If you compare hagthor's very strongest day of his life so far, with anyone else. He may have been the strongest man of all time.. I would guess big Z on his best day, and Eddie hall, would be his best competition. On their best day ever.. as far as being the strongest person on their best day for different time periods, I'd say paul ANderson absolutely ruled the 50's and Kaz ruled the 80's era's.
