I mean he rebelled rn against the gods. I think he was more agreeable compared to the outer gods so that's why he's not considered an outer god. Plus this is happening before the tournament began so I don't think they know buddha was going to defect. It was smth that caught them all off guard.

Tenkaichi is really not all that. The art is good yes, but without a protagonist, the series doesn’t seem to be anchored or focused on anything beyond violence. And the magical abilities are so wild and varied, seemingly with nothing to tie it all together. Even a soft magic system could be really effective but as is, basically everything could happen just because. And for a manga that has no protagonist with to authors that claim to decide the victor after the backstories are made, the fights are extremely predictable.
