Trapper's strongest State was early in the game when infinites where a really common thing and he was the only playable killer

There was a time where trapper could keep survivors on the hook by trapping the hook. It made it impossible for survivors to unhook, since that time traps couldn't be unset. This was in beta. Trapper was ridiculous at beta, but infinites existed so I guess that game was ridiculous during beta.

Even back then, trapper was pretty bad. Sure he could trap infinite windows, but those traps could be permanently sabotaged. If you had a toolbox, you didn't even have to disarm them before breaking them. Also, even if you trapped an infinite window, there would still be 5 more elsewhere on the map.

Trapper was actually awesome back when maps actually had thick grass. There were also some spots in previous iterations of maps like Ormond or Crotus Prenn that completely hid his traps, i.e. they would no-clap into the floor but still activate. While he's had QoL updates to his base kit, said kit has always been map dependent.

Freddy has always had the short end of the stick sadly. He was viewed as the weakest upon his release, his rework made him more effective but took away the little artistic flavor he had, only to be nerfed to the ground. Also, in a weird way, Nurse might be outdated. Maybe she seems more domineering to people now than back in 2016 simply because the game doesn't have the stealth play it once did. Just a thought.

Also the buff he received lowkey nerfed him. Like currently its so easy to reveal him its crazy. The 60 sec mark ? fundamentally useless since Ghostface is not supposed to have long chases. Has some niche uses but why not Addon rework ? Very cool but since his power doesn't work half the time its meh Marked person cant reveal him? nice quality of life but again minimal Legit I think he lost more than he gained since his one of his only strengths was the buggy reveal mechanic lmao

@@theslavicrat3784 I dont think that the update was that bad. 1, the 60 seconds has helped me get downs that i wouldnt have gotten otherwise. 2, there are some of his addons that help quite a bit now. drivers license is pretty good, and olsens wallet i believe immedietly recharges night shroud. 3, the marked survivors cant reveal ghosty feels cleaner and helps when you wanna build pressure. i respect your opinion though! i agree that sometimes he doesnt feel good, but in my opinion the changes were pretty good.

People complained how trickster was “too weak” when in reality he was average. But devs took it as he was severely underpowered and buffed him unnecessarily. Now he’s unstoppable at loops without line of sight breakers. This had the unintended effect of people calling him the most “annoying” and “frustrating” killer to play against. I’m a dredge main and I’d say dredge’s best state is right now too. The only real weakness dredge has is survivors locking lockers immediately once the round begins, and tall jungle gyms

I'd argue that Hag has gotten worse with the addition of Circle of Healing, which makes her hit&run playstyle far less effective. Survivors constantly running off and healing means Hag is not often able to catch an injured survivor with a single well-placed trap.

Trickter use to have an add on combo where he could take his piercing knives and shattering knife add ons and take health states with 3-4 hits by aiming at your feet. He could also use the combo to eat through BT before you finish the unhook animation and would tunnel without care for ds. That was his strongest point

One thing I think would be important to consider about this topic is: The gameplay elements have majorly changed alongside the killers. Back when the game initially released, there wasn't much of a "meta" per say, at least not in the way it exists now. Some things just were the way they were. With that in mind, I'd argue Trapper back then was actually one of the better killers... which isn't hard, at the start there were only three. But with not many of the newer perks to go with, he was the only real way to get map-control back then. Wraith was just hidden and Billy just had a solit mobility and insta-down. Trapper on the other hand could basically be at multiple places at the same time, because of his traps, and also end chases pretty fast through them. The only thing that'd counter him was Small Game, which did work for basically disabling his map pressure, but it didn't help when already in a chase.

I personally think slinger's ads time wasnt the problem with him, but the small terror radius and pairing it with m&a compared to his max range was definitely the problem. however, I dont think the ads should return to what it was, but it should be increased via basekit or rework addons to increase ads speed so that he has a better chase potential whilst still being not able to shoot you off a gen when you csnt even hear his terror radius

trickster's strongest state was when everyone was abusing the pierce + splash damage addons as you could down someone in like 4 seconds just by aiming at their feet. it was a kind of big thing where everyone dc'd when they played him during that time

I feel like trapper's strongest state was before they started doing all of the map visual reworks. His kit might have been weaker, but you could hide his traps in grass way easier. Most of the maps make his traps super visible now and it's way harder to hide them. I also think there's an argument for blight being stronger closer to release than he is now. The aura reading addon had a range of 16 meters instead of 8, and the aura reading lasted longer. Alchemist ring was also bugged and made rushes recharge 50% faster in addition to refilling all rushes on hit. He could flick way harder and could turn a full 180 degrees behind him. There are also other techs that he had that have been patched out. Lastly, even though the low FOV made him harder to play, I feel survivors were generally way worse at playing against him since he wasn't as popular of a killer. Old ruin undying was also super oppressive on him.

For Nurse i feel like Old omega blink nurse (i think early 2017?) was the strongest point, when the longer blink ranges did not make the blink take longer to charge, and with the faster blink speed. She could cross map in literally 5 seconds While ignoring everything in the way. There was literally no way to outrun a original omega blink nurse if they knew the timing.

I'd argue Nemesis has gotten worse. He only had 3 decent addons which was Marvin's Blood, Ink Ribbon, and Mikhail's eye, but two of them were nerfed. The RPD Badge got buffed but the zombies AI is as sad as ever, so it makes little difference if they're zooming at 150%. Discordance used to attract the zombies too, but I noticed it no longer works, at least in my matches. Really, the only "useful" buff he got was moving at survivor speed with his tentacle out, but only at Tier 3.

I feel (as a blight main), his strongest state was about half a year ago, before the hitbox changes. Due to the hitbox changes, backwards bumping is way more common, and many hugtechable walls have become harder to hugtech.

honestly, the Twins are in my top 5 favourite killers in the game. they can be extremely powerful, shutting down loops and useful for getting information with idle Victor and killer instinct, but also their lore is really fascinating. defo my top 5 (artist, huntress, onryo and deathslinger being 1-4)

As a nemesis main I think nemesis is a bit weaker now than on release due to two things, one being that even with buffs to zombie ai they are still useless 9/10 games and the second being the nerf to his marvins blood add on which used to let him reach t2 with two hits even if they were on the same survivor

I would argue that trapper is at his weakest now more than ever. His biggest strength is not his loop trapping, but the grass that used to cover nearly all of the map. Early upon release there were tons of grass, fog, and darkness that made his traps nearly invisible. That is gone now. With survivor perks coming out that make them much more powerful and gen rushing much easier the trapper gets weaker and weaker upon every update as new killers come out and new survivor perks arrive that honestly shut him down. These days it really doesnt matter what you trap, survivors will see them and jus run around them or ignore them.

I wonder if you could potentially do a video delving into Killers that it's implied the Entity may have also taken, but we've yet to see? You could bring up the unused Teacher and Smasher killer, but there also exists a tome or journal entry, maybe from the Observer (I don't remember) that talks about a killer, who was a woman who poisoned men for their money? And I've found out from your videos that there are carvings possibly depicting ancient Greek survivors fighting a Minotaur, which I interpreted as the Entity taking the Minotaur as a killer? I don't know if there are other examples, but it is an interesting thing to think about; the idea that the Entity has pulled so many people and beings from across the universe into its realms that there are still killers we haven't seen already there

I think wesker has been more strong since launch and not so much during ptb. I think before his launch. His post rush movement speed after the first rush was pretty low and running loose crank with 15% extra speed made up for it. Then at launch they made the 15% base kit. And decreased loose cranks power by 7% from 15%. I'm not too sure. I'd have to look at the patch notes for wesker to be sure

Wesker was incredibly weak during the PTB. Just because he had dumb hitboxes doesn't mean he was good. In fact, there were a lot of quirks in his power that could be used against him easily, like vaulting a pallet immediately after he vaults it, or vaulting a window in front of him, which wouldn't do anything and would give the survivor extra distance.
