My step Mother is a pro at getting free stuff from surveys and contests! You should totally interview her. She's in her 60s now and retired. Has made a hobby out of it. She can tell if its a scam or not almost instantly. I tried to do it and I don't have the patience hahaha. She has won so many weird things and items. I think one possible reason for why the fridge video performed better than the taking down a scam center video is because everyone can relate to the fridge thing on a personal level. That gives the content universal appeal. In contrast, there are very few people who can relate with the experience of taking down a scammer call center. This narrows the video appeal to the smaller niche of folks who are interested in scam baiting and scammer hacking.
@adamgreen56802 жыл бұрын
Also, stuff with the KZbin algorithm. As long as a popular video pulls people into a good channel, there's a high likelihood that viewers will check-out other videos or become a subscriber. In the mid 2000s, my Dad responded to an ad to get free golf clubs if he tested them. He signed up for the ad. The company was wanting delivery fees and delayed sending the golf clubs. A family friend said this looked like a scam. My Dad was out some money, not a lot, and never got his clubs. His correspondence and waiting took about a year. My parents were also victims of the computer error scam where the scammer tries to hold their computer performance hostage until they paid a large sum. The sum was about 3x the purchase price of the computer. My parents refused to pay. The scammer got mad and gave up. My parents were confused and shocked. I was mad that this had happened. I kept the computer in good working order and was outraged that this had happened. Their computer was not corrupted or anything.

I did one of these style rewards years ago(back in the pop up era) and I did indeed get the item, a 100 something dollar printer. I don't know how many rewards I signed up for, back at the time their were far fewer subscription services save for news papers and magazines. Honestly these programs do make sense if the companies aren't scamming, it's the same premise as using Facebook, who sales your data and in exchange offers you the platform free of charge, you're generating leads and adrevenue. Then there is commissions these companies are making, so there is room for them to complete the reward without losing any money in the process especially since many of the participants aren't going to complete the process, following the 80/20 rule, probably about 20% of those who go through the program grt to the point where they can claim their reward, but they're made money regardless if you complete it or not. Back before Amazon shut it down, companies would advertise on fb to review their product for free and they were completely legitimate, in terms of Amazon fulfilling the order, you reviewing it and then your money being sent back to you.

I have this fridge; it's more like a toy cooler that works than an actual appliance. It keeps your drinks a couple degrees cooler than room temp. It's more of a decoration than anything.
@DareToBeDeviant2 жыл бұрын
@@nikkim4828 I thought so from the very beginning. Real cooling requires a condenser of sort and there's no way in hell these little buggers would have anything more than a 120mm fan topping out at 800rpms.

Its not really a fridge Its more like a cooler

I’m truly shocked you were able to even get $25. I wonder what their “reward partners” think of this? They’re scamming their potential customers and that is just going to make them angry at their service because they were tricked into it. I’d think they’d be delivering low quality leads. Perhaps reach out to each “partner” and ask why they allow this.

It's not really a partner anways. The gift card provider is simply a company which provides gift cards automatically.
@parabellum10022 жыл бұрын
@@LuaTech I meant the subscriptions and services he had to sign up for to get the gift card. Those companies pay this company a referral fee. Maybe if they knew how this company was baiting and switching and lying they’d discontinue their referral code so the incentive to lie would be gone.

Just last year I did the whole Dewalt tool thing never had to pay for any subscriptions or anything. I was promised a tool kit for review all I got was a tiny 1 inch Phillips screw driver lol. Good thing I never use my personal info just junk accounts.

Your gonna hit a million subs real soon with all these bangers, hopefully I can make a video with you one day 🙋🏽♂️ (ps, my girl thinks you have a boring mono-tone voice, I think your very enthusiastic lol)

I'm captivated by this Dr Pepper Fridge will they or won't they deliver it to you drama. I'm on the edge of my seat with tension! And I'm completely serious, this is, for some reason, riveting viewing to me!
