Lord help me to be grateful for what I have! Lord help me to be okay with me! Lord help me not to seek other people's approval! I don't know why I do that? I come across as weird! People get the wrong impression of me! Lord help me to know that I am okay! I don't need someone's approval! I don't need people's acceptance! I don't know what is wrong with me? For it is God that worketh in you to will and to do of his good pleasure. And he won't leave you nor forsaken you. Have you noticed that the people you THOUGHT were living "happily ever after", after the course of time, didn't? That jealousy was not only misplaced, but it was a sin, too. Let's focus on God's will for our lives because at the winter of our lives, we'll look back and see that He guided us in to the paths that were fulfilling for us, though we didn't think so at the time. I used to resent not getting the promotions I so desired and believed I deserved. But that meant I attended Little League games and dance recitals and dating arguments, and wiped many tears. There really was no one better to share those with! Thank God! In Jesus' Mighty Name! Amen!!!

I really like what the commentator said about comparing yourself to others will either develop pride or envy. No we as Christians need to be content with what God has supplied for us because He knows and loves us perfectly! 💕So when you start to compare slow down and test your motives as to why you're doing that. Off the top of my head the only reason I can think that would help to compare is if you're in training and you compare the endurance of a fellow runner you might then ask the fellow runner what do you do during training, I'd like to try it too to see if I can too improve my running stamina, but as far as material financial and relational aspects of life be very very careful. That relational one really covers a broad topic. Think about it marriages, siblings, dating and so on. God is with us through all that too and He does know us best pray🛐 move slow and keep God in every part of your life!!! Happy Friday All!! Bring on the pizza!!!😆🍕🥗💪⛑️🛐🎶🌈🎵🎺👑✝️

I have often found that envy and jealousy are confused together. God has showed me that while he envied noone, he is jealous of everyone. Everyone is allowed to have each other, and all their time and all their things, but God gets none. Such a shame, as he made it for his glory, only to recieve none of it. Evey man glories in himself and not in his maker. Such is a disgrace to a man, and it's not good to eat much honey, Proverbs. To envy is to see that which doesn't belong to you and to desire it against wisdom or even right. Such is the foundation of covetousness, bitterness that one has something you don't have.

Pride and bitterness take subtle forms: but gratitude and praise towards God, even when we hurt, help root these issues out. If God blesses someone else in a particular way, that doesn't mean that He loves you less. Our minds can wander into weird places and view only 'the best' in others' lives while focusing on the problems we have, instead of recognizing the bigger picture. And when we focus on our own problems, rather than letting our minds rest on what is praiseworthy (see Philippians 4:4-8!), we'll lose sight of God's goodness and likely stumble into sin. Don't get me wrong, there's a time to think about issues and things that challenge us: but our resting place should not be worry - and definitely not 'value competition'. We did not merit salvation (Ephesians 2:8-9). What does that say, then, about our value in God's love toward us, in that, "while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us" (from Romans 5)? And how much more peaceful is it to be able to rejoice in the good that God does for others and through others? I've a long way to go, but Jesus is worthy.

According to the Strong's Exhaustive Concordance Hebrew Dictionary, the word used here is: 7068 qin-ah, kin-aw; from 7065, Jealousy or Envy. 7065 qana, kaw-naw'; to make Zealous, i.e. in a bad sense... provoke jealousy. In the New Testament Scripture, Galatians 5:21 & 26, both mention similar words referring to a bi-product of the works of the FLESH rather than being, "led by the Spirit." In the KJV, the words are Envyings, and envying; In the Greek the words are: 5354 phthoneo, fthon-eh'-o; from 5455, to BE jealous of. 5355 phthonos, fthon'-os; akin to the base of 5351; ill-will (as detraction), i.e. jealousy (spite) envy. NOW CHECK THIS OUT: 5351 phtheiro, fthi'-ro; to waste, to wither, to spoil, to ruin, influences to deprave, corrupt, defile, destroy. WOW!!! In other words, the deadly sin of envy or jealousy causes and leads to absolute decay, defilement and destruction! How bout that? Our God is a JEALOUS God, but make no mistake, He is NOT a sinful man who was created and fell. He is perfect, sinless, sovereign and HOLY. Jealousy is strictly reserved for Him, and Him ALONE; and jealousy is strictly prohibited for ALL HUMANS, SAVED or unsaved. REPENT if you are struggling with jealousy. God is ABLE. Only God can STAND before jealousy and abolish it for us. Depend on Him to overcome this debilitating, corrupt and foul character flaw caused by our sin nature. LOVE ALL OF YOU OUT THERE.
