@@Bmuenks31 yea, I hate the pvp part in this game, since it is not voluntarily. Questing is stressful, because danger lurks around every corner. Soloing a fortress only to come out and see your ship destroyed. But yea, now we have PvE without emmissaries and only 30 percent of profit, which is literally NOTHING. Thanks for that great PvE option, rare! That´s exactly what I always wanted. NOT

The difficulty I've always had with solo slooping is shortly after combat begins I have to be off the cannons to either course correct or repair damage during which time I am doing NO damage to the enemy and they are continuing to fire on me. I have practiced against a skeleton galleon a few times but at best...I manage to run away without sinking.

The biggest struggle I have with solo pvp is when you die, and you have 2 people camping you on your sinking ship. And for whatever reason, it decides to spawn me right next to them each time.

Loving these videos! I quit playing a while ago as I'm awful at PVP (combination of disability affecting my reaction times and poor eyesight) and it just drove me crazy to get killed all the time when I just wanted to find chests and buy cute clothes lmao 🤣

That sucks. You should try going back and learn a few tricks with your ship and communication to keep forced pvp to became a rare occasion. And even when you can't avoid combat, you can become really hard to sink and catch as well even with slow reaction times and poor eye sight. Just takes some naval skills :)

I love this content, and agree that solo pvp may be difficult and in 6500hours in this game I think the only way to improve is to sink. Also just some advice: don’t use blunder sword, you will only get worse. You may win certain fights, but you will never improve which is the main point in fighting

as some one who is struggling as a solo sloop adventurer, (who just saved up to buy his own sloop) its reached a point where i just cant bring myself to respawn anymore,(having a crew of 3 spawn camping most of your respawn spots while they shame me for not having friends, general toxic slurs for being a noob captain as my ship slowly burns down and sinks, is just not worth) 9/10 crews that sunk me are always 3-4 players (my co op friends can only play 1-2 days a week so i have to go solo to make gold) my worst day was yesterday where i got sunk 10 times within 4 hours (7 of which where pvp, (also losing the kracken, skeleton sloop and galleon emergent event) scuttling and server hopping every combat encounter. its reached a point where idk what to do anymore i cant even go beach combing for scraps with out some one some how finding me it seems. i did not know becoming a real ship captain makes you so much more of a target.

I would suggest world events, sea forts, and roaming smelly ships as a good way to get loot, I found it to be quicker than grinding voyages. Although merchant cargo runs and gold hoarder vault are always a good time for some easy money.

What's that about flipping voyages makes the loot disappear? Is it only the Veil Voyage to avoid an exploit with ship graveyards or all voyages? Upd: yep, it only happens with loot from ship graveyards. Found it in patchnotes.

Cliff if you are fighting a galleon it is very important that you spam fire from a distance and have a ballast ball. If you get into their broad you need to spam blunders at cannon line and keep them off cannons. When you get close as well and they start hitting your cannon line you need to get below deck so you don't get popcorned off the boat. Sorry if this is a lot, I just want to help you win more fights cliff. Watch some Kai Joi and Blue Sail Gang if you want to learn more about the nitty gritty of Sea of thieves Naval and PVP. Breeze is also amazing for pvp and naval, he does amazing with solo slooping.

I wish they would make refugee areas to at least have somewhere people good go if they didn't want a fight and to also save some loot if not all because grinding and losing everything doesn't always make for fun gameplay. Battle zones though seem like a good idea though, but hopefully won't become novel as some people just like ruining other people's day. xD I haven't played SOT since the new adventure came out, also why I like the Athena missions because of the fish to my friends' dismay, those fish don't sell em self's is all I am saying.

Saddest Galleon - fight I've ever seen. Usually -if you fight a Gally with a solo - sloop - you are gonezo the moment you enter their broadside. If they are a well oiled machinery at least 3 cannons will make swiss cheese out of your vessel (3x10 cannon balls = 30 shots fired at your ship in rapid succession...) while the fourth boards you. Usually an act of 1 minute max.
