മുഖത്ത് പുരട്ടാൻ പച്ചമഞ്ഞൾ അരച്ചത് നമിയാണ്.
അത് മുഖത്ത് പുരട്ടി കഴിയുമ്പോഴേക്കും തലയിൽ തേക്കാൻ എണ്ണ കാച്ചണം. മൈലാഞ്ചിയും ചെമ്പരത്തിയും കറ്റാർവാഴയുടെ തണ്ടും കഞ്ഞുണ്ണിയും ( ഈ നാട്ടിൽ കഞ്ഞുണ്ണി എന്നാണ് പറയാറ് ) നെല്ലിക്കയും വേപ്പിലയും ചേർത്ത് ഇടിച്ചു പിഴിഞ്ഞ് വെളിച്ചെണ്ണയിൽ കാച്ചി എടുക്കണം. ഇത്‌ മുടിക്ക് വളരെ നല്ലതാണെന്നു പഴമക്കാർ പറയും.
നമി കുളി കഴിഞ്ഞു വരുമ്പോഴേക്കും അഷ്ടഗന്ധം പുകച് മുടി ഉണക്കണം. ഇതും മുടിക്ക് വളരെ നല്ലതാണെന്നു പറഞ്ഞു കേട്ടിട്ടുണ്ട്.
ഇനി പ്രഭാത ഭക്ഷണം ഒരുക്കണം. ഇന്ന് ചിരട്ട പുട്ടും കടലയും കാടമുട്ടയും ചേർന്നുള്ള വിഭവമാണ്. നമിക്കിതു വളരെ ഇഷ്ടമാകും എന്ന് കരുതുന്നു.
രുചികരമായ ആഹാരങ്ങൾ അവൾക്കിതുപോലെ ഉണ്ടാക്കി കൊടുക്കുന്നത് എന്നും എനിക്കൊരു ഹരമാണ്. ഒപ്പം അടുത്ത വീടുകളിലേക്കും.
എന്നെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നവർക്കും, പിന്തുണ നൽകുന്നവർക്കും, പരിഭവവും ദേഷ്യവും തോന്നുന്നവർക്കും നൽകാൻ എനിക്കൊന്നേയൊള്ളൂ.... സ്നേഹം മാത്രം.
