This was my theory as well. At the very least I'm pretty confident that it's slightly implied Lupo made it out. Iirc her kids were under the custody of Umbrella. During the Village raid in RE8 one of the houndwolf squad comments on how hectic everything is and another responds "mom would love this" or something along those lines.

One thing I've always appreciated about this game is that it justified its emphasis on action and combat over survival through its story. You're not a survivor having to deal with the apocalypse, you're a well supplied elite soldier being sent into an apocalyptic situation for a reason. It makes sense that you'd be shooting a lot more and running a lot less

I'm a big survival horror fan, but this game is the guilty pleasure to end all guilty pleasures for me. There's just this awkward charm to it that I love. Like, it's basically Resident Evil fanfiction that somehow got endorsed by Capcom and it's amazing.

I mean, theres not many games where you can disguise as an enemy soldier, run up to one of his allies, melee grab him, point a Desert Eagle (lightning hawk) into his face, then proceed to put a bullet in his chest instead so that the hordes of undead would swarm him and his allies and then turn invisible and disappear. As a third person action shooter, its a really fun experience minus several boss battles.

What I like about Operation Raccoon City is that you are playing as the bad guys who was the cause of the zombie problem. Not to mention you are the bad guy who is also a bad ass elite spec ops

I loved this game when I was younger and not exposed to the online critique. Beware, the internet opinion does help us save a buck in bad games but can also keep you from something you would otherwise enjoy. Not everything has to be a 10/10

It's great to see someone finally put into words why this game is such a guilty pleasure. I especially enjoyed the characters because, like you said, they may be pretty shallow in-game but they still have interesting quirks & ideas mixed with cool designs (Vector being my personal fav).

I loved this game from the day it came out. I mowed lawns and got money for this game, my first personal hard earned money purchase as a young lad. My buddy and I played this for months on end, with extraction being our favorite multiplayer mode. We knew people were mad, but we didn't care. I could see a reimagining of these guys where after cutting ties with Umbrella, they inadvertently begin laying the groundwork for what eventually becomes Blue Umbrella by revealing all of Umbrella's dirty secrets to the world, including a sizeable number of their own employees who genuinely had no idea what they'd actually been working on. And while their initial motivation is purely to get revenge on their former employers for leaving them to die, they would slowly come to the realization that they kind of like being the heroes for a change.

regardless what the majority of the community says, or what even Capcom says, I consider Operation Raccoon City canon, no way Umbrella would risk important documents falling in the wrong the hands about their shady practices. obviously the killing Leon and Claire ending is a What if, but pretty sure Wolfpack did split near the end after Umbrella essentially abandoned them, half loyal to umbrella which got them killed by their teammates and the ones that survived helped the Courts slam the lid on Umbrella

Nice video 👍 About Spectre you could have put a spooky fact about him, according to ingame dialogues he may have practiced cannibalism. It’s in the second level when you first met zombies eating a corpse, a teammate make a remark about that and he respond “Try surviving Soviet winter. Maybe you won’t be so quick to judge.”

She is followed by Bertha and Spectre who were born ex-aequo in 1964 (34), then the tricky Vector as he doesn't have an official birth year but according the ARG he's in his early 30s, so he should be between 1964 & 1968 (as early 30s usually goes from 30 to 34), then Beltway born in 1969 (29) and the youngest is Four Eyes who was born in 1970 (28).

This game was the BOMB when I was a kid! I remember always playing Campaign with friends on my PS3 Slim and I had a great time. I really gotta play this again when I have some friends with the game.

THANK YOU someone who actually doesn't blindly dislike this game because IGN and other big outlets say it's bad. I loved the design style of this mostly the characters and their designs and basic stories. I would LOVE to see Capcom Remake this game just for the fun of it. Adding more character, outfit designs and even a Custom Character to play as with a mix of different outfit styles from each of the chars. I still try to play this game at least once a year around Halloween.. I found it annoying The Division 2 Had a Resident Evil Heroes Costume Crossover event and didn't include Wolfpacks outfits.. Always thought how amazing a The Division x Resident Evil game would be as a Co-op Online Survival shooter with Villian and Hero characters to interact with.

11:19 vector doesn't just "looks kinda cool" when he performs his special takedown, if you do that on a human enemy he will take on his appereance for a short amount of time, they will not target you until you attack them directly but if you're sneaky enough you can kill them all before they notice. It was useful in some sections of the game when there's a shootout with many spec ops but you could also do that in the multiplayer, altho it was kinda pointless because people could still see your gamer tag and and they knew you killed their teammate because of the kill notifications.

I absolutely love ORC. It was in my top 3 favorite games on my xbox 360. Using Four-Eyes, just sitting back and watching zombies kill each other, or using Vector's cloak ability was fun as hell. I miss playing this game, I really do. (Not to mention the main theme, which friggin slaps!)

RESISTANCE was originally gonna have story content along with its multiplayer mode but it got scrapped which is a dam shame. Probably were going for an Outbreak type thing with those new characters.

A friend of a friend was a scripter on this game. I also think he might have been the lead story editor but I couldn't find him or anyone under that title in the credits so who knows. I feel so bad his first huge project in a franchise he loved got slammed so ruthlessly. Lost all contact and have no idea if he ever even kept working on games. I hope so and I hope he got a chance to shine.

I always liked this game. I got the steel book edition when it came out. While I didn't like how RE was turning more and more into a straight action series, I think it was fine to do that with a spin-off game like this. I also liked the idea of playing as the bad guys and the variety of characters available. The combat was also great, especially that "gun-fu" button. I'm surprised nobody picked up on that for other shooter games. I would also say that if you like the base game, the DLC was definitely worth getting. It essentially doubled the size of the game.

Ive always liked this game, i quite enjoyed beltway, and vector being a student of the grim reaper himself added a little more depth to the reapers lore which is nice. Was only many years later that i found out that it didnt meet the bar for many.

dude, i just found this video, and i REALLY love this game from the bottom of my heart, i wished they remaster this, its been years i cant play it anymore cuz the servers are dead, but this game in multiplayer was so much fun... i am an avid game explorer, i have played easily more than 5000 games in my life and today i work in game designing as a passion, and this game still haunts my dreams about how awesome the lore/ character designs are made, a shame it get this hate from people that never played it.

I like to think that they were essential in the formation of Blue Umbrella. It should be noted that they hadn't done it for altruistic purposes, but more for recognizing a demand for such an entity after the desolation of Umbrella. UBCS dissolved along with the parent company, so they are without a job. Naturally, they'd likely make a bulk of their roster and is very much the reason why Chris Redfield had trouble trusting them. It's like if Brad Pitt's character in Inglorious Bastards joined an Anti-N@zi group made entirely of former N@zis.

My only complaint about this game is how expensive it was for the amount of content, there's a dlc where you play as the good guys that feels like it was removed to charge more

funnily enough this was my first resident evil game, I enjoyed it for what it was, I really like the look of the operatives and I never noticed their personality. i heard rumors about a hunk game, and considering that almost every hunk lore video brings up that he tutored specter it would be a waste to not even reference their existence. Yeah the concept art is pretty awesome. Especially aerial views of the city and all the chaos. ORC really is a fun game to play, story and writing not the best, but when you can shoot down hundreds of zombies, i really didn't pay much attention to it to critize it.

Would be an amazing game if remade, with more weapons and some character customization. The melee system is ridiculously robust, the sidearms are crazy, and the versus was actually epic. Infecting enemies, turning into them, melee comboing..

I still to this day feel as though this game was overhated. I really enjoyed playing as a groups of elite Umbrella commandos and getting a chance to see things from Umbrellas perspective. It also helped that all the characters really felt like badasses in their own areas of expertise. In Resident Evil we rarely get to actually see Umbrella in action on the ground they're always in the shadows so it was a nice change. As for the more action packed shooter kind of style this game had that a lot of people hated I always thought it made sense here because you're playing as soldiers sent in to accomplish a mission, if it were any other way I would argue it wouldn't fit. I loved the multiplayer here and miss it and that's coming from someone who's predominantly a single player gamer. There's not too many games I can say I miss playing multiplayer in. A lot of people think my opinion on this game is stupid and to each their own but I have always really enjoyed it.

This was such a great game. Loved it even more than R6 which came in the same year. It added so much flavor to Resident Evil. Like, come on! The series is about incredible monsters and they started doing Michael Bay games yet all the characters remain as "mortal" humans? There is literally no difference between actual Chris and Leon in the series. They are both expert cqc marksman. Here, we actually get professionals with an added plus of skill set

I love the team dynamic. I wish capcom had some creatives who could pull off a PVP asymmetrical Evolve X RE;sistance style game like this. Also not gonna lie this game was my gate way to playing and liking world war z and aliens fireteam elite ever since this game ive been chasing the next closest thing to operation raccoon city ever since i got it on 360 back in the day shoot i had all the dlc i don't know what it is bout having 3 to 4 people in the game or even computer teammates in the game and you run through a kinda long level that has hordes of fodder enemy's that get mowed down easily yet still has a chance of killing you if you dont play smart or actively stay together and fight as a proper team something bout this i just really like but find it hard to explain its like it give you the chance to escape and basically do big movie levels of things like for O.R.C. i felt like i was in the movies low key with how you be walking through the city find some idol zombies too ones that pop out on you to a seemingly endless horde of zombies that you have to clear the city of when im playing i just think of it sometimes like what i would be doing if i was in the second resident evil movie which also it these types of games to me truly give out the random with the mini gun scene vibe in wwz and orc you shooting at every thing that comes your way in aliens you shooting everything that comes your way and your shoot at the roof above you and behind you and at the side of you and what i like about those games is if you have one of those rush the match ego players that only tryin to speed trough a mission in your game if they try ditching team mates then most likely everyone will die so makes these gamers have to play smarter and help the weaker players get more time to learn and get better at the game actually let me fix my comment this game and left 4 dead is what got me into these games and i know a lot of people dont like these games other then left 4 dead but they just do it for me they fill a gaming hole i miss from child hood just fighting end less enemies and game matches feeling like they last so long

Yeah there's something about these team-based pve games that can get really cinematic and awesome, such a cool feeling. One game I've played recentlu that's given me a similar feeling is SCP 5K, that with friends really feels like a movie, and gets pretty intense sometimes!

@@muhnoodles i just checked out that game after you mentioned it wow that looks crazy that game definitely is something im missing out on thanks for putting me on and trust you did amazing om this video im definitely checking out more of your videos especially the ones that come off this genuine i like when people can understand why a game or even a movie might not be like but still can fine where the charm in the games are it truly give me a nostalgic vibe hearing this , just waking up one morning going to your local game store to see if their anything you're missing out om to find a random game you neve knew existed find out it even has online co-op in it play it so much your family joins in and buys the game name your runing team with your family you know that for the franchise its not exactly the same old barley any ammo but its explained you work for umbrella so of course you got unlimited ammo lol you and your family laugh at the fact you finally get to chase down Leon and he is a cheap son of a gun with the sniper till you realize that if snipe his head a couple of times by the trains he runs off scared i and like you said yeah it a bad resident evil game but it for sure is a fun addictive game thats for sure lol honestly i personally haven't seen too many people who have that take on a game cause i personally find their are alot of games like this but if i watch some of these other videos on other games its either they say the game has to be completely garbage or insanely good for the first week it kinda makes gaming feel depressing and make me feel like not playing games but this video alone made me go back to the game and enjoy my time knowing yes their are some problems with it but overall im having fun again thank you💯👍🏿🤝🏿 edit: also i love the detail you gave because while you think you may not have went in depth with it ive played this game for years and no one taught me about the snap shot it took me a while to figure out rhe action move whenni was on 360 playing its stuff like that most would slighty brush over or past and assume its not important but it adds to my enjoyment of the game for example i actually like the avengers game for what it was but i do understand why it got hate and the problems but for me i viewed it as a more advanced beat em up cause the amount of combo switch ups and how if you or any else on your team play iron man and calls the hulk buster the teammates that can fit it can use it for them self so i can call it down place it in front of you as you could be captain America and jump in to the hulk buster and we take down a army and back then beat uphad team take down or specials like the teen titan game for gamecube back in the day and it had combos tho simple ones but if you compare both avengers to teen titan as beat em up to me avengers could of been a good recipe for the next generation of beat em up i remember playing as thor and throwing my hammer to block a missile then i pinned a enemies to the ground with it started throwing straight hands with everyone around it while i block other missiles coming around me and the enemy i pinned with the hammer by calling on lightning to strike the hammer i was basically using him a a shield while boxing wirh thor but when you check on reviews of the game you dont really hear no one really talking about that kinda of stuff so sometimes without know you just talking about small details like that , that most would skim over can make a big difference in how informative your videos are and from what i seen and heared you got that down very well in this video im excited to see what else you talk about down the line an remember always be yourself casue people will feel your energy meaning do you if you find a new game you wna t to talk about do that if you remember a old game you want to talk about do that you never know who's watching shoot ive seen a youtuber talk about the multiplayer in batman Arkham origins with just that video alone he brought back a good portion of the community and new people to and that multiplayer alone i would put it up with this game for games i wish game a sequel of another go around at it like origins I'd like to see wb revamp that and fix and problems with the multiplayer and add a couple more gangs and a bit better maps but unfortunately these companies dont see the value in these cause these flopped first year then gain some love later on but anyway im done my books in your comments sorry bout that keep up the great work and journey i see you growing more in this space

I beat this game on new game, new save, hardest difficulty and with all 6 characters. Saw the preview and bought the game day 1 full price on ps3. I dont regret it, and my two brothers played it. They made fun of it, but liked it for its bad charm. Still have my copy and will never get rid of it.

In my experienced back during the PS3 era in multiplayer almost everyone will always pick the 'good' ending of letting Sherry happy family live. Except one time where one dude chose to kill them and had to faced me and two other people for it--he didn't win.

Maybe! I've played it in coop a bit and mostly it's about the same as singleplayer, but more enjoyable and easier to have an actual player on your team, since the AI isn't that good

I actually played this game on Xbox 360 like 10 years ago, and then I played it on my channel like a few months ago maybe a year. I beat the the main game and Spec Ops DLC with the AI, and even made videos on how to find all the special weapons and raccoon, but I never beat the hardest difficulty or made a video on finding every camera. Anyways awesome video. Hey if you ever wanna team up on this game I'd be down to reinstall

I'd totally recommend it with a friend, though it's a bit tough to get the game now and tough to get it to work haha. Capcom removed the buy option on steam and it's a games for windows live game, making it hardly worth it to get it by now, BUT if you do want to I hear it's still being sold on key sites and there's a good guide on steam for how to get the games for windows live part to work 👍

I agree with a lot of statements in this video. I am hoping Capcom really gets to bring them back it is truly a wasted concept. To me even though the game was not like a master piece. Being able to play as the clean up crew was beyond mind blowing for me. It should be redone. It wouldve been amazing as a re2 remake dlc. Covering up racoon city. All they have to do is not make it where Leon meets them. If anything they should do a whole mission avoiding Canon events and working in the shadows.

I still want a remastered version of operation raccoon city imagine better graphics and the things they didn’t do they can do now and improve the game they already gave us resident evil 4 and people are already wanting 5 so why not add operations in it and maybe even add a dlc to show the aftermath of the final mission I honestly not fair how so many old head destroyed this game when me and so many loved it
