9:23 This is a perfect setup for a unique Team Draft strategy. Take Dauthi or Counterspell both of which would be fantastic in your deck. Pass two moxen is fine, as one of them goes to your teammate, Sandydog. Pretty good chance this gives him an on-color Ruby in what would otherwise be a fairly mediocre pick 3. The cost to this play is that it lets Mack choose between the mox. But in this situation it feels fine. If Sandy is on aggressive creatures, the mox will do even more for his deck than it will for your control shell. Secondary cost is that it might lower your personal stats. But getting to make an interesting play on camera is worth something, too. Right?

Truly no worse feeling in my gut than my opponent tanking for like, 2 or 3 minutes on turn 2, just really thinking through lines and just playing land and passing. I know no matter what my next few choices are, they already planned for that, and i get picked apart.

12:45 - Triskelion combos with Heliod or Angel of Thune for infinite damage, similar to how Spike Feeder gets infinite life. Also works with Ballista, and I'm sure there's some Cauldron use cases too. Thinking about including elements of these combos in my cube!

Always fun seeing LSV thinking about interactions it can have. And while on the weaker side as a card it has a high ceiling, but not to the point of to overpowered

triskelion is a backup walking ballista for soul cauldron. Also combos with mikaeus the unhallowed, but I don't believe that's in the cube, so weird card.

Splashing a 5th color for Swords to Plowshares when you have quite a bit of other removal seems .... Ambitious. Especially when you were shorter than you'd like on youe main colors.

@@roarmalf fair enough, but the point stands that he was struggling to get the lands to work for four colors, and putting in the fifth certainly made his deck less reliable, for minimal power increase. I believe he'd have done better scrounging in his other picks for a card or two and have a decent 4 mana base than to have forced the 5th in deck building. Especially since his splash isn't a bomb - just solid cards.

That's the bad thing about snowlands, you can always use them when in the format there are snowthings, there's absolutely no drawback to play them and you can mindgame your opponent and also they can come handy in some very niche situation like getting control of the Icefang Coatl.

I think being this deck kind of a control one, you could've picked one between Toxic Deluge and Fiery Covenant, in the second game they would've single-handly won you the game and in general in these Cubes there's always at least 1 aggro player, sometimes 2.
