LSV, recently assembled a regular in person vintage cube play group and watching these regularly has definitely upped my game. When I have the time, pausing and trying to talk through the pick before hearing your commentary really helps and having so much excellent commentary now with the daily vids gives me so much to work with when making picks (except when I go for WW or mono-red 😬)

51:00 you could flash in hullbreacher and use swift reconfiguration as a protection spell of sorts. Would not have worked against march, but I've definitely gotten people with that. Your vehicled creature keeps its static abilities.

I watch LSV vintage cube drafts regularly and think I learn a lot. Then when I have the opportunity to do vintage cubing I often draft hot garbage [it's still fun though!]. His knowledge of the cube and what he COULD draft into later, how he reads the draft signs, and how he thinks about what his opponents COULD have while playing, is a big part of why he's a master.

At 36:40 with timetwister and touch the spirit realm on the stack. Would it have worked out if you'd prismari commanded, then he most likely resto's in response. You let resto resolve, create 2 treasures from prismari's command and now have 2 mana to miscalc the touch and he can not pay -> timetwister resolves? Or would things not resolve on the stack that way? (love these uploads!)

It couldn't be done, since the touch was not cast, but channeled, so miscalc could not counter the ability, plus you can't make two treasures with command, it doesn't let you choose the same option twice.

@lsv I think you undervalue speculating on the splinter twin combo pieces, e.g. here you could have speculated on splinter twin, would have gotten pestermite and exarch as well and it would have made the deck better, having teferi as well for protection

@@LSVargas this is not really the deck for it, but lion sash is a really messed up card. if you're ever going for a mono white deck, go for it. Lion Sash is really strong. Caleb Gannon won lots of games with it.

twin combo is only exciting with tutors with black or green, and either way there's more things in those colors you would rather be doing. especially with such cheap and easy removal in the list, creature combos are not an exciting option. compare with breachfreeze, how much more elastic those cards can be even on their own, its not even close.

I guess it can put Echo in the yard, along with reanimator targets, lingering souls, goblin welder targets? There is of course the secret mode of choosing 4 targets to obtain 2 cards but thats seems a lot less reliable in a cube setting.
