Wow, the grandson of Asmodeus, that's funny because one of my D&D characters is the daughter of Asmodeus. She made a contract with Mephistopheles to kill Asmodeus for reasons I'll explain in the read more. The only stipulation/condition that Mephistopheles put on her is that she would have to do it as a mortal, so she obtained a mortal vessel and would have to make her way down the layers of hell, killing each layer's leader, starting with Zariel. (This was mostly an excuse to start her as a lvl.1 PC) Her name was Strelitzia, and yes her story is very similar to Glacia because at the time, I didn't realize Asmodeus already had a canon power hungry daughter, let alone multiple. I differentiated her story by writing her as bastard child, probably just one of the many "non-favorite" daughters he had. This is why she was fine with making a contract with Mephistopheles, even though she knew how dangerous a decision that was, she made sure the deal was worded in a way that would make it difficult for either of them to betray each other, but not impossible. Likely, by his own intent, he did the same. Devil's are very cunning creatures after all. Anyways, I'm glad this was under the read more, if you actually did read this, I hope your curiosity was sated. This reveal was the first time I actually felt like leaving a long winded comment.

This lore drop in this episode definitely has me excited, hell is one of my favorite parts of the Forgotten Realms, especially after the campaign Descent Into Avernus... I might have to make my own D&D AI presidents channel and do that campaign.

Just finished my second watchthrough of this campaign (2 days before episode 54 goes public), and I'm still loving it. May even go back for a third time! As a side note, my theory on who Vazuriel (sp?) is might still be correct! Excited to see if I'm right or not, when the time comes! Looking forward to everything this great campaign has in store for us, and even though it will be sad when it's over, I'm looking forward to seeing how it all ends. 😁 Edit: in case you're wondering, yes, I did watch/listen to the entire thing I'm two and a half days. 😅😂 That just shows how good it is. 😁

Asmodeus in 5E is not a minor diety he's a primordial serpent that is amongst the first few beings created by Ao and simply took on the guise of the God of the hells after a fight with his sister the mother of coualts caused him to fall into the deepest pits of Existence resulting in the hells forming around him, compared to him orcus who is only a demon lord which is nowhere near even a normal God and Vecna are absolutely punks
